S2:Ep6 Just the beginning

-

"Daddy-o!" I exclaimed once I saw him walk out of baggage claim, one suitcase and one guitar case in his hands. He looked in my direction and shot his arms up.

"Daughter-o!" I laughed as he wrapped his arms around me, swaying us side to side. "God, I feel like your ass got taller." He pulled back and held my shoulders, studying me. "What's the number now?"

"Still five ten, Dad. Maybe you're just finally getting old-"

He quickly spun me around and put me into a headlock as he led us out of the small airport. "Listen here.. I had you at seventeen so you better quit with that old man shit." He shoved me outside and I laughed, pushing the unlock button on my truck key. "Are we heading to your place first?"

"Yeah, I can't find my dorm key though so we're just gonna stop at Kappa and you can put your stuff there." I started down the near empty airport road and leaned back. "So, Dakota's cool with you being here for a couple days?"

"Yeah," he leaned back and rolled the window down. "He's a surgeon you know, so he's always busy prepping or putting in hours."

"Shit dad... you must be living the rich ass life then." He simply winked and looked out the window. "Can I get something?"

"You have more than enough guitars, Y/n." I smacked my lips, hating he knew exactly what I would ask for. "Vanessa know you play?"

"Nope." I turned onto the residential road where the frat was. "Haven't really thought about it... it's been a while since I played."

"Good thing I brought mine then, huh?" I hummed with a nod before parking in the horseshoe driveway. "Holy shit.. this is your house?"

I chuckled with a nod, turning off my truck

I chuckled with a nod, turning off my truck. "Yup, welcome to Stanford pops." I climbed out and grabbed his suitcase while he grabbed the guitar case. "Jospeh loves parents so he probably went all out for you."

"Awesome. Makes me miss my college days." I cocked an eyebrow and gave my dad a look as we reached the door. "Man.. those were the days."

"The days huh?" I unlocked the door and pushed it open before walking in. "Am I old enough to know these stories now?"

"To sum it up, lots of vodka, football, serenading with my guitar, and weed." I hummed, not too shocked but it was always a bit insane to hear about your parents living like that. But, knowing my dad grew up in Wisconsin, it wasn't too much of a shocker. The nineties there was all about partying, (and driving up to Canada for booze)

"Your teenage years was basically the real life That 70s Show." I set my keys down just as I heard thundering feet from the stairs. "And here comes the boys.." I said with a sigh, the groups of boys all jumping off the steps and rounding up with wide grins. "Alright dad, try to keep up." I cleared my throat and started pointing. "The kid Kyle, Cocky Conner, Chris The Rock, James squared (there's two of them), Jacob, Miles, Christian, Ziggy, and Joseph aka Prez. How'd I do?"
