S1:Ep18 the calm before the storm

"What about that one?" I whispered through the semi dark room. The morning sun peeking through the curtains, illuminating Vanessa's features like a sunset on a canvas, beautiful.

"My brothers initials." She responded when I pointed at the tattoo on her right wrist. "He's always been my best friend."

I smiled and trailed my finger up her arm, stopping on the inside of her right bicep. "This one?"

She smiled and giggled, leaning back in my hold. "Got this on a drunk trip in Vegas. It says mamas girl." I snorted in response and stared at the tattoo for a moment before my eyes moved over to her neck.

I pushed her hair to the side and stared at the red ink. "Cream?" I mumbled. "That's your favorite song, right?"

"Mhm." She mumbled and I leaned forward, pressing my lips to the back of her neck ever so softly. A soft hum left her lips when I kissed every letter, just to go back over them when I got to 'M'. "You have any tattoos I don't know about, Stanford?"

"Hmm." I gave her neck one more kiss before pulling back. "Nope, wanna take me to get one?"

She turned in my hold to lay on her back, her eyes brightening. "Are you serious?" I nodded. "Hell yeah boo. What are you gonna get?"

I looked away in thought, tapping my chin before snapping my fingers. "I want a mini snoopy on my ass." She fell into a surprised laugh while I stared at her, keeping my serious expression. "I'm serious, he was my childhood hero."

She covered her face and shook her head. "You're ridiculous, Y/nn." I shrugged in response before snapping my head up when I heard footsteps, my heart beat quickly picking up.

"I made breakfast guys." My mom said before walking away.

I sighed out heavily and Vanessa raised up, exposing the top half of her body. "That's my cue." She mumbled and shamelessly climbed out of the bed, going into her bag now without a care.

I placed my hands behind my head and watched as she pulled on some loose sweats and a cropped hoodie. How did she make something so simple look so flawless? I'll never know or understand it.

When she finished, she turned and watched me watch her slip on her Ugg's. "What?" She questioned and I simply shook my head with a smile. Her eyes rolled before she came over to my side of the bed and leaned over, her hair falling around us like a curtain. "What Y/n?"

I slowly raised my hand up and rested it on her chin. "You're beautiful, and smart, and passionate, and just amazing.. figured you should know that." Her eyebrows raised, a small amount of blush covering her lips as she giggled.

"Stop being gay." I rolled my eyes but she then leaned down and connected our lips, staying put for a moment in a soft, chaste kiss. When she pulled away, my eyes were still closed and I felt breeze pass by me, signaling she walked away. I reopened my eyes when she mumbled lowly, almost shy like, "And thank you.. I did need to hear that." She gave me one last smile before walking out of the room and closing the door behind her.

I sighed happily and closed my eyes, rubbing down my face. I had sex with Vanessa.. holy fuck. We had sex then cuddled all night. Where was the guilt? The pain? The awkward feeling?

..it wasn't there. I didn't feel one ounce of guilt in my body and I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing... shit.

After taking a quick shower and changing into some clothes, I couldn't help but wished I packed myself. My flight here was directly after softball practice so I asked Conner aka Kyle if he could pack for me since my suitcase was at the house instead of the dorms... never again. Instead of just packing, he claimed he went shopping for me because my closet was atrocious.
