*forgive my mistakes*

Phana was all set for his work, after his uneventfully "eventful" day off.

He was just about to lock his door, when his phone beeped with a message notification.

"Hey buddy, all the best for your first day at work in New York. Don't forget to check out some hot guys there. Americans are bloody hot."

He chuckled at the last part. It was Beam.

This guy never felt tired of telling him to find someone for himself.

He always intruded in his plans of shutting himself off from everyone around him.
Phana is grateful to him for that too.

He started his car engine, with a good mood. All thanks to Beam though.

Then suddenly, the guy from yesterday came to his mind.
Immediately his mood went sour.

"Such a gullible brat!" He thought.

***

He was going through all the files that he got from his secretary, when he heard a knock on the door.

It was again his secretary. Ryan.

"Excuse me, sir, may I come in?"
He asked from the door.

Phana and Ryan was of the same age.
So it was really awkward for Phana to endure all the honorifics.

Phana smiled and urged him to come inside.

"Here's your coffee sir. And the intern is here too. Should I send him to you now?"
He asked politely.

" Yeah sure.  Thank you for the coffee. I needed that badly. I'm really sorry for asking you to bring me one. I don't know anything here. This won't happen again.
And one more thing.
Can you please stop calling me sir ? It makes me feel too old. Just call me Phana."
Phana kind of whined, making Ryan chuckle.

"Um. Okay. I'll keep that in mind from now on".

They shared a smile and Ryan left.

Phana made himself again busy with those files when another knock took over his attention.

"Yes. Come in."
He said without looking at the door.

"Whoa! Phana! You're gonna be my boss??"

The loud shrieking voice made Phana flinch but then he looked at source of the voice.

He's stunned.

What else could he expect from his own fate??!!! They were fated to meet afterall.
(A/N : anyone missed Fate?😈)

Phana was so enraged at the sight in front him that he almost broke the pen he was holding.

In front of him, it was Mingkwan, standing while showing off his pearly white teeth.

Phana lost all his will power to regain his past self back. He has lost everything.

He felt like crying while screaming his lungs out.

He didn't say a single word. To be honest, he was speechless.

He never considered himself that unlucky.

"Hey, are you okay? You've been gawking at me from a long time, you know! I mean I know I'm breathtakingly handsome, but you're making me feel creepy now"
Ming smirked at Phana.

He couldn't believe he would meet him this early.

He had his phone number, but the way Phana left yesterday, made Ming scared to call him or even text him.

It's been long since Ming met anyone from his own country. He had friends, but that weird meeting with Phana made him feel somewhat better.

He wanted them to meet again and again.

He had no reasons for that though.

Phana was extremely good looking. His tall, muscled stature, made him even more attractive to Ming.
But he could easily feel some pain in Phana's eyes.
Those two dark brown orbs somewhat felt distant to him.

Probably that made him mysterious.

And Ming has always loved mystery.
His love for solving puzzled and riddles can not be put on words.

Phana, was himself a mystery to Ming.
The giddy feelings, the sad eyes, the sudden urge to meet him again and again, only worked as fuel to it.

"What the hell are you doing here?"
Phana coldly asked, after composing himself.

"Who did you even call your boss?"

"Uhm. Sir. I'm Mingkwan Baramee. I'm going to work here as an intern for the next 6 months."
Spoke Ming, politely.

He now could easily get the anger from the words.

"It's not the time to be happy now. He's angry, see!" He kept on talking to himself in his mind.

"We don't need any intern here.
You may leave now."
Phana was extremely pissed off .
Even though he knew he was being just unreasonable but he couldn't stand that guy.

That brat had the audacity to trick him just to get his number.

He hated that kinda people.

"You don't want me to work here?"
Ming felt sad. All his cockiness was gone.
He felt the hatred.

"Sir, can you please give me a chance? I promise I won't let you down"
He pleaded.
Phana saw those unshed tears in Ming's eyes.
He felt bad.
Not for the bratty kid but for himself.. for being unreasonable.
He can't let his personal issues , to collide with his profession.

He took his time to look at the "lost puppy" in "human form".

"Did you bring your appointment letter with you?"
Phana asked making Ming almost jump out of happiness.
Phana tried his best to hide his smile at Ming's antics.

He knew the next six months would be way too harder than it was supposed to be.

He knew he would be regretting this decision....that too for several times.

He could actually see the future just in front of his eyes.

"Do you want to join from today?"

Ming couldn't answer anything , he only nodded his head over enthusiastically for a few times.

"Tsk tsk!! Such a stupid brat!" Phana thought after Ming left his office.

But there was a warm feeling inside his once stabbed heart and a hint of smile on his face too.
