Chapter : 10

We'll be going through some flashbacks in this chapter 😌

*Ming's POV*

I could not sleep a wink last night. It's been more than a week now, since I last saw Phana.

He didn't call me back.

I think so far, I've already left millions of voicemails.
I even sent him tons of messages too.

But he didn't answer any of them.

And that made me worried.

I have no idea what happened to him.

All the bad thoughts are killing me.

I can't concentrate on my work.

I've forgotten about my studies as well, which I'm absolutely not happy about.

So finally I decided to call someone else to know about him.

I can't call my brother. I know he will be worried sick if he knows about Phana and me.

So I decided to call my future brother-in-law, Forth.

It's really weird for me though.

I've never been this restless for anyone in my life.. not even for once.

And on top of that, I never called Forth before. We only talked once, when my brother wanted me to meet his boyfriend. So we talked through a video call.

But I guess, now I don't have much of a choice here.

So after contemplating for a while I dialled his number.
After a few ring he answered, " Ming, is that you?"

I was shocked knowing that he had my number saved already..

"...yeah?.." I stammered.

"What happened? Is Beam okay? Are you okay?" I felt glad knowing this guy loves my brother.

He is such a caring person, I can feel that.

" Yeah. I'm fine. Beam is good too. Actually I called you for a reason. I want your help." I stated politely.

"What help do you need from me?" He asked with the same politeness.

I can say I love him already. He's gonna be the best brother to me, but definitely after my Beamie-bro.

" Umm... Forth, can you tell me where Phana lives?" I mumbled, feeling a bit embarrassed.

" How do you know him?"
This time his voice felt serious.

" He and I work together. Actually I work as an intern in his company here, in New York."
I truthfully said. I had my fingers crossed for not getting scolded or anything.

" Why do you need his address when you only work for him?" This time it was getting even more serious.

"Umm.. see Forth.. Phana left our office for Thailand a week ago. But I still couldn't get a hold of him though the numerous phone calls I attempted, not even from the messages." I said with equal seriousness.

"You still didn't answer my question though. Why do you need to know about his address? " The coldness of his voice made it pretty clear for me to understand that he wanted to know my motives.

" Forth, I think I like him. And I believe he should know about it, before it gets too late. To be honest, I have a doubt that he won't be coming back here. So I need to tell him about my feelings. Face to face.."
I tried to voice out my urgency.

The other line was dead silent for a while and every passing minute was making it harder for me.

" Why do I believe you?" Forth asked.

" Why would I lie to you? I really like him. You won't believe how I'm spending my each day without him. You tell me.. you love my brother, right? Why would I believe you with that, huh?" I almost whined.

I was eager to make him believe in me.

"I'll text you his address. But trust me, if you break his heart or even try to play with him, I'll make sure to kill you with my bare hands. I won't spare you. No matter what or who you are." He coldly said making me loose the shit out of myself.

I'm taking back my words. He's too scary. I don't like him.

" Uhm .. okay.. do whatever you want.. but I need another favor from you. Please don't tell my brother about this. At least for now. Please.." I pleaded.

But he just cut the line.

I raked my hair out of frustration.

Loving someone is so hard...

Wait a minute... Did I just say I love him?
Oh my God!!! Do I love him? I love him????.....

I was going crazy in my mind when my phone vibrated with a notification from Forth.

He sent me the address.

Yess!! I almost screamed out of excitement. One thing is done from the checklist.

Now it's time to call Ryan and show him my award-winning acting skills.

The next few minutes went on with me, coughing and sneezing simultaneously just to make Ryan believe that I'm extremely sick and badly need a sick leave for at least a week, which he granted easily.

Now the last and most important thing is left from the checklist.

I needed the earliest possible flight for Thailand to catch.
So I booked myself a ticket and started getting ready.

I packed my backpack hurriedly.

My flight was at around 7 o'clock in the evening, so I decided to take a shower and make myself some food before leaving for the airport.

I'm coming to you, Phana..

I felt ecstatic just by imagining Phana's face and how his reactions would be while seeing me.
