Chapter : 20

Phana was driving while Ming was silently peering out of the window..

It was a peaceful silence inside the car..

both of them were happy..

even though there was a little anxiety going on in Phana's mind, he masked it from Ming pretty easily.

Phana was glancing at Ming's side every now and then only to find him amusedly looking out of the window, like a child..

Happiness was radiating from him, which made Phana's heart swell with love..

He was genuinely happy for finally acknowledging his own feelings for this guy,sitting beside him..

After reaching Ming's apartment, he told Ming to get some more rest and he would make their lunch in the mean time..

Ming too, obeyed everything that Phana told him to,like the lovesick puppy he was..

He was elated with the fact that Phana would be taking care of his health and well being..

Even though it was really hard for him to believe that Phana finally accepted him.. THEY were finally together..

And with all these happy thoughts, he again fell asleep with a smile on his face..

Phana on the other hand felt restless.. he had no idea how to make all the things he had planned, happen, without making any mess..

He took a shower, to cool off his restless mind.. and now he was sitting,while thinking hard..

He took his phone out and with a fast beating heart and an overly worked up mind, he dialed the number.

After a few rings the call was answered..

"hello... Phana... is that you?" the groggy voice was the sole evidence that the person was in deep sleep as it was past midnight in Bangkok.

Phana almost cursed himself for not remembering something so important before making the call..

"Phana... are you okay?" the worried voice broke the chain of thoughts..

"ye..yes.. maa.." he was nervous!

"Phana.. what happened? Is everything okay?" the gentle voice of his mother gave him some courage. He knew it wasn't the time to be a coward. He had to make a choice, which he already did..

"maa..uhm.. actually.." the loss of words was enough for him to curse himself in his mind.. He never knew he was such a nervous wreck..

"Phana.. is Ming okay? Are you okay?" and this time, he seriously lost every single word he planned to say to his mother to convince her to let him live a few days with Ming,in here.

"she knew I was coming here for Ming.." he was really scared by this time.. he remembered all those painful memories he had with his parents when he was with Forth.

"Phana.. now you're scaring me! It's really late in here.. what happened son?" she asked again..

"Maa, Ming is sick.." he gulped painfully..

"what happened to him? is that why you went there?" she spoke softly again..

"No maa.. I came here..uhm.. to.. ask him something.." he couldn't decide whether to tell her everything truly or not.. he was still doubtful on his newly mended relationship with his parents.

"you finally accepted him?? oh my God!!" the high pitched squeal of his mother made him look at the caller ID, only to make sure he called the right person or not. He was stunned.

" Phana.. you seriously asked him out,right ?" she again asked.. Phana could easily grasp on the happiness out of his mother's voice.. he could imagine her beaming face..

" yes maa.. I love him.. and we're together now.." he shyly said.

"but how did you know this? Are you okay with this? Will Pa be fine with this?" he mumbled, feeling a bit unsure.

"Phana.. I'm really sorry for what we did in the past.. I feel really ashamed because of all those things.. when you were in coma, it took a lot of courage from both of us, to go to you and confront you.. I still feel scared that God was snatching you away from us for our sins.. and now we've both realized, its not wrong to love whomever you want ,especially when you're being loved as well.. so don't ever think this way.. we're more than fine to know that our baby boy is being loved and is happy.."

Phana was fighting back with those tears that were all ready to fall..

" thank you ma.." he almost whispered inaudibly.. his mother's words were really precious to him.

"now tell me what happened? And why did you say that Ming is sick??" she was concerned.. afterall she knew that Ming had feelings for her son.. it wasn't very hard to understand that over enthusiast boy. And she was well aware of the fact that her own son loved him back too.. but was having hard times to overlook his insecurities.. that's why she didn't intervene between them. She wanted her child to brave himself up and fight against those unassertive feelings..

And especially when she got to know about the changes in the events,she felt delighted..

Finally she could see her child,finding his way to happiness.. and a mother never wants anything more than that..

" actually Maa, Ming lives here alone.. and he has been neglecting to take care of himself.. last night he fainted while coming back from work.. it's a blessing that I was there for him.. but I'm worried Maa.. he will be having his final exams in a few weeks.. what should I do Maa?" he gently asked.. he still couldn't gather the courage to ask her directly about the entire moving in here thing..

Firstly because, he still hadn't asked Ming about this.. even though he was assured that Ming would be elated with the news.. and secondly.. he was still uncertained about his father's health..

"Phana, don't worry about us. We'll be fine in here.. your Pa is already getting well. Doctors have told us,he's out of any danger.. so if you want to stay there,with Ming, you can do that.. don't think much."

Finally a smile broke into his face.. all those worries had gone down the drain..

"thank you Maa.. I love you so much.. you're the best.." he felt like a child who finally got the mostly desired toy..

On the other hand, his mother had tears in her eyes,even though she felt like she was the happiest person on earth.. it's been a long time,since she heard those I love you from her son.

"I love you the most,son.." she spoke in a cracked voice.
