Melaina's POV

The door to my cell opened and an Orc sauntered in.
He smirked, "how did you sleep, princess?" I just rolled my eyes. "I asked you how you slept! Answer me or face punishment!!" He yelled. I continued to ignore him. After the first month, I refused to talk at all. Each day I would be punished but I was too tired to talk. Too tired to do anything but survive.
The Orc walked over to me and grabbed my arm. I tried to wiggle from his grasp, but it is no use. I was too weak. He grinned evilly and took out a knife. Oh man...not that! Please not that! Anything but that! I thought. I was still chained to the wall, and then he forced me to stand up. Then, pushed me against the wall with his dirty arm against my neck. I struggled to breathe as he stabbed the small blade into my arm. Tears flowed down my face relentlessly. He finally pulled out the blade and let go of me. I dropped to the ground clutching my arm.
"Time to work." he says, "get up." he walked back over to me and unlocked my chains. I rubbed my red sore wrists quickly and stood up, still clutching my wounded arm.
When I arrived where the orcs wanted me, I saw Azog, their leader. He was taller than most orcs and had very pale skin. Besides being taller than most orcs, he was also stronger and smarter. I feared him most of all.
To short orcs walked over to me that were standing behind Azog. One had a scar running all the way across his face and the other had metal staples in his nose. The scarred Orc and his buddy grabbed me and pushed me to the ground. I didn't resist. I was too weak to resist. They chained my hands and feet to the floor, so I was spread out. Then, I heard the whip.
Azog spoke, "Tell us information on your father, Melaina, and no pain will come to you." I stayed silent even though I knew what would happen. After a moment, I craned my neck up at him, to see him nod his head at the Orc holding the whip. The Orc wasted no time in bringing down the whip upon my back. It ripped open my tunic as well as my skin. Each lash felt worse as it progressed. I gritted my teeth, desperately trying not to scream. Just as I felt that I could take it no more, everything went black.
