New York City, abandoned. It didn't seem possible. And yet, here it is. Empty boats tied to a dock, all abandoned. An empty baseball stadium. Completely lifeless.

In an abandoned cafe, Steve and Y/N held a session called "WHERE DO WE GO, NOW THAT THEY'RE GONE?".

(A/N Your outfit.)

"So I, uh

"So I, uh...Went on a date the other day. First time in five years, you know? Sit there, dinner...I didn't know what to talk about," a man explained.

"What did you talk about?" Y/N asked.

"Same old crap, you know? How things have changed, and...my job, his job...How much we miss the Mets. Then things get quiet...He cried as they were serving the salads," the man answered.

"How about you?" another man asked.

"I cried...just before dessert. But I'm seeing him tomorrow, so..." the man trailed off.

"That's great. You did the hardest part. You took the jump, you didn't know where you were gonna come down. And that's it. That's those little brave baby steps you gotta take. To try and become whole again. To try and find purpose. I went in the ice in '45 right after I met the love of my life. Woke up 70 years later. You got to move on. Got to move on. The world is in our hands. It's left to us guys, and we have to do something with it. Otherwise...Thanos should have killed us all," Steve explained.

After the session and everyone else left, Y/N looked toward the exit while hugging herself. Steve went in front to face her and saw the tears threatening to fall. He gave her a hug, making her cry into his chest.

"It still hurts after five years," Y/N cried.

"I know. Even after we thought he was dead back in '44, it still hurt 70 years later," Steve told her, parting from the hug.

"There's a part of me that wished I was snapped out of existence with him, but another part of me is saying he wouldn't want me to think like that," she admitted.

"I wouldn't either. After missing a lifetime with Peggy, I felt my whole world crumbling. It crumbled more when I thought you were dead. But when you were found and brought back, my world slowly rebuilt," he told her.

She smiled softly while wiping her tears away.

"Thanks, big bro," Y/N thanked.

"Any time, little sis," Steve smiled reassuringly.

Then they left for the Avengers Compound.
