Tony, while carrying Jamie, flew in the Mark 85 suit while scanning the tower. He found the original Avengers apprehending Loki. Hawkeye has his bow and arrow pointed at Loki's face.
"Got to hustle, guys. Things look like they're just about wrapped up here," Tony informed, putting Jamie down then they both hid.
Steve and Y/N walked towards the elevator.
"Got it. We're approaching the elevator now," Steve informed.
"If it's all the same to you...I'll have that drink now," Loki (2012) said.
Jamie took in a sharp breath at the sight of Loki, alive and well.
"All right. Good one. No standing around, I'm closing up this door for later," Tony (2012) remarked then said to Steve (2012), "By the way, feel free to clean up."
"Uh, Mr. Rogers. I almost forgot that that suit did nothing for your ass," Tony (2023) commented as he looked at Steve's (2012) ass.
"Seriously?" Jamie said.
"No one asked you to look, Tony," Steve pointed out.
"It's ridiculous," Tony whispered.
"I think you look great, Cap. As far as I'm concerned, that's America's ass," Scott remarked, saluting.
"How did we get from the mission to my brother's ass?" Y/N asked in disgust.
"Uhh, magic wand?" Natasha (2012) asked.
"STRIKE team's coming to secure it," Tony (2012) said.
That's when Rumlow and Sitwell came in.
"We can take that," Sitwell (2012) started, took Loki's Scepter from Natasha(2012), then finished, "off your hands."
"By all means. Careful with that thing," Natasha (2012) commented.
"Unless you want your mind erased. And not in a fun way," Clint (2012) remarked.
"We promise to be careful," Sitwell (2012) assured.
"Who are these guys?" Scott asked.
"They are SHIELD...Well, actually Hydra. But, we didn't know that yet," Tony (2023) answered.
"Seriously, you didn't? I mean...they look like bad guys," Scott pointed out.
"You're small, but you're talking loud," Tony remarked.
"Guys, shut up!" Jamie whisper-yelled.
"On my way down to coordinate search and rescue," Steve (2012) informed.
"On my way down to coordinate search and rescue!" Loki (2012) as Steve (2012) said, turned back into himself, then remarked, "I mean, honestly! How do you think you'll be..."
Thor (2012) slapped on a mouthpiece over Loki's mouth then demanded, "Shut up."
"All right, you're up, little buddy. There's our stone," Tony (2023) said, pointing at the Tesseract briefcase.
"Alright. Flick me," Scott said from Tony's (2023) shoulder.
Tony obeyed and Scott landed on Tony's (2012) beard, which he scratched. Scott then fell into his reactor. All of the 2012 Avengers head for an elevator and Hulk was about to go in too.
"Whoa!" Thor (2012) exclaimed.
"Whoa, whoa. Hey! Buddy. What do you think? Maximum occupancy has been reached," Tony (2012) said.
"Take the stairs," Thor (2012) told him.
"Yeah," Tony (2012) nodded, Hulk was about to punch the elevator door, then Tony (2012) yelled, "Stop. Stop!"
Hulk punched it anyway, then went for the stairs.
"Take the stairs! Take the stairs!" Hulk remarked angrily.
"All right, guys. We got our scepter in the elevator just passing the 80th floor," Tony (2023) informed.
"On it. You and Jamie head to the lobby," Steve (2023) said.
"Alright. We'll see you and Y/N there," Tony replied and he and Jamie made their way to the lobby.
Steve and Y/N made their way to the elevator.
"Alright. You follow us by listening through your com and taking the stairs. You aren't around at this time, so stay hidden. Keep an eye out for the Hulk. Whenever you don't hear us anymore, meet me on that floor," Steve (2023) instructed.
"Okay. See ya in a bit," Y/N nodded then went for the stairs.
That's when the Hydra agents went in the elevator.
"Evidence secure. We're en route to Dr. List. No. No hitches at all, Mr. Secretary," Sitwell (2012) informed.
Then the elevator doors opened to reveal Steve (2023). He joined them and hit a button to continue down.
"Captain. I thought you were coordinating search and rescue?" Sitwell (2012) pointed out.
"Change of plans," Steve (2023) said.
"Hey, Cap," Rumlow (2012) greeted.
"Rumlow," Steve (2023) returned, noticed their suspicion, then replied, "I just got a call from the Secretary. I'm gonna be running point on the scepter."
"Sir? I don't understand," Sitwell (2012) said.
"We got word there may be an attempt to steal it," Steve (2023) informed.
"Sorry, Cap. I can't give you the scepter," Rumlow (2012) told him.
"I'm gonna have to call the Director," Sitwell (2012) added.
"That's okay. Trust me," Steve (2023) assured, leaned over to Sitwell (2012), and whispered, "Hail Hydra."
They all exchanged surprised looks before giving it to him. Steve (2023) got off the elevator with a smile and met Y/N at the door that led to the stairs.
"Even though you said it to get the scepter, I can't believe you said it," Y/N said.
"Me either," Steve admitted.
