late update but i got Disney + and i'm lazy now

zach stayed by jacks side the rest of that day. he was worried that jack was gonna start to feel even worse. it's very surprising that zach herron of all people had concerns for others...

the love he had for jack avery was more than anything...it was like all of a sudden he developed all of these crazy unreal feelings for the curly haired boy.

one day he just wanted a fuck buddy and the next he wanted a real relationship, someone he could care for and love and someone who would do the same to him.

jack was laying in bed when all of a sudden his door opened and in walked zach with some medication and sprite.

"hi i didn't think you'd want to eat so i brought you some meds and sprite..." zach whispered as he sat them down on the table and jack raised up

"thank you" jack spoke with a raspy voice and zach smiled as he sat down at the edge of the bed

"anything for you, uhm how are you feeling now?" he asked and jack sighed

"i feel better actually just tired. i think i'll take a nap or sleep the rest of the day and i'll feel better tomorrow" zach nodded as he sighed and stood up

"well i guess i'll leave then" zach was frowning...he hoped jack would ask him to stay

"uhm actually could you stay and possibly nap with me...it's just i don't wanna be alone in case something happens or-" zach cut him off with a nod and a chuckle as he sat down at the end of the bed

he turned off the light and closed the door as jack snuggled back under the bed and fell right asleep and zach smiled at the sleeping boy before falling asleep hanging off the bed.

it was later in the day and zach had woke up. he looked around the room after fluttering his eyes open and saw jack still asleep. he checked his phone and saw daniel had texted him to see if he wanted to come over and video some tiktoks for their accounts. instead of responding with a lie he decided to wait to text him.

he then check the time and saw it was 4:50...they slept for about 5 hours. he decided to wake jack up and see how he was feeling and if he wanted to leave to get some food.

"jack hey are you feeling better" zach asked when jack rolled over and furrowed his brows

"hmm? oh yeah i feel better" jack grinned and went to stood up after rubbing his head "i need to pee" he laughed and walked towards the bathroom

zach put on his shoes and waited for jack to get out of the bathroom. once he walked out zach asked if he wanted to go get food.

"yes oh my god i'm starving" jack slid on his shoes and grabbed his hoodie and phone and they walked downstairs and grabbed zachs keys then got in the car.

they turned on the radio and jacks phone connected to the bluetooth. the song 'hotshower' turned on and they started to sing and dance to it. it felt like they where in a tiktok to be honest.

"so where we eating" zach asked and jack smirked and turned his head to face zach.

"is it my favorite restaurant" jack asked and zach smirked as well

"i don't know what is it" zach asked...he honestly didn't know where to eat at and was hoping jack would tell him.

"is it Taco bell" jack got all happy as he clapped his hands and zach nodded

"where else would it be"

they drove towards the restaurant and pulled in and parked. they then proceeded to get out and walk into the fast food place and order. jack got a quesadilla, a large baja blast and zach got 2 burritos and a large dr. pepper.

they got their food and sat down.

"zach why do you care so much? you've helped me all day and i'm thankful but why?" jack asked before drinking his drink and zach sighed sitting down his burrito

"i feel like its best...i want to help you and spend time with you avery...if that's okay with you" zach responded and jack reached over the table and held zachs hand

"of course it is. i'm glad you want to honestly"jack retorted and zach smiled as they finished their food

they went back in the car and started driving around once again.

"would you like to go to this pier with me?" zach asked and jack gasped but nodded

"yes! i love being near the water" jack replied and zach grinned

"i didn't know that, that's sweet" jack blushed at the comment

they made it to the pier and zach walked behind as jack skipped over to the ledge and sat down dangling his feet over the water.

he breathed in the fresh air as he closed his eyes and felt at peace...

zach was admiring how happy jack was in that moment and he couldn't be more happy to be there.

"so wanna get to know each other?" zach asked and jack opened his eyes and nodded
