friday

jack was dressed and ready to go to school. he had corbyn and jonah pick him up instead of zach that morning so he wouldn't risk spilling the plan.

"i can't believe you're taking this big of a risk" jonah chuckled as he turned onto the next street "what do you mean?" the boy asked furrowing his brows
"he means like...you're usually not one to make plans like this, you know?" corbyn replied and the curly headed boy nodded.

they finally made it to the school where jack was met with a smiling brunette boy walking towards him. instead of going towards him he then instead walked away dodging the boy, leaving a frowning and confused zach.

"is he okay?" the brunette asked as he walked towards the two boys. "well uhm he's fine yeah" corbyn stuttered trying to come up with a 'lie'.

zach just nodded and walked inside with the couple before he met up with daniel. "jack is acting weird" he told "we've been here for 5 minutes what do you mean" the fake blonde laughed and zachs face remained the same, confused. "he hasn't said a word or even looked my direction" he sighed and daniels face softened as he hugged him "i'm sure everything is okay"

zach then walked to his and jacks shared class and sat beside the curly headed boy. he went to say hi but jack put in his airpods and turned on his music ignoring him. well he wasn't ignoring him just trying his hardest not to spill the secret plan he had.

"jack..." zach poked the boys side while he whispered "baby" he poked him again but all he got was jack humming the song he was listening to.

it was like that all day. even at lunch jack just ate his food and didn't commit to the conversation. zach continued glancing at the boy even stared at him but nothing.

after school, jack rode home with corbyn and jonah and got everything ready. especially it being friday they had nothing else to do. "thanks guys!" jack smiled as he hugged them by once he was dropped off.

his parents were going to his grandparents for the weekend so he was home alone.

he went outside and sat up the blankets and pillows. he then cleaned his bedroom and sat the snacks out. he already had his phone hooked up to the bluetooth for the speakers through out the house. he then went back outside and made sure all the fairy lights worked.

he was almost ready...all he needed was to call zach over.
before he did, he took a shower,  and changed into some joggers and a hoodie.
"now let's call him" he spoke to himself. it was around 9 so it was dark outside.

"hey...could you come over?" he spoke into the phone once the boy answered "why?" he asked with sass "because i wanna apologize for everything today" he sighed and the brunette breathed into the phone before agreeing and hanging up. jack paced around the living room as he waited for zach to come over. he was nervous the boy wouldn't like what he done or that he was still mad at him from earlier. around 5 minutes later the door sounded with a knock and jack froze...he then walked slowly over to the front door to and opened it seeing the brunette .

"hi...i missed you" he spoke softly as he held the boy's hands in his and walked inside the home "im sorry about earlier...i just didn't want to spoil the surprise" jack breathed out and zach furrowed his brows. "what surprise" the brunette asked "well...our date of course" the curly headed giggled a bit with a smile and zachs lips curved into a grin.

"come outside" jack held his hand guiding him out the back to where the fairy lights lit up the area with a blanket and pillows along with the basket of snacks. "jack...it's beautiful" he awed "i wanted us to be able to watch the stars...i find it romantic" he shrugged as he sat down on the blanket "this is amazing baby...thank you"

they laid down on the blanket staring up at the stars pointing out constellations and other things...jack laid his head on the boys arm that was wrapped around him as they giggled about little things they saw.

they eventually started eating the smaller snacks and drinking the drinks jack had out in the wicker basket.

"you know" zach whispered as it was a while later "what?" he asked snuggling closer to the boy "i love being able to just lay on the ground with you and not having any problems or other thoughts...you really do know how to make me happy" he spoke openly as jack stared fondly at his eyes

"i love being with you zach...you're amazing in ever way possible...i wouldn't rather be with anyone else" jack smiled as they raised up and glanced at one another

zach cupped jacks cheek and passionately kissed his soft cherry tasting lips...it was a love filled slow short connection...

"cherry...my favorite" zach laughed (stream cherry by harry styles)

"you're to much" jack playfully hit him before they laid back down eventually dozing off.

the date was just as perfect as jack imagined it. it was simple yet sweet, and peaceful. as long as he was with zach he didn't care what they did and he felt like zach thought the same...

maybe he was in love with the brown eyed boy?
