Well Friday came a lot faster than expected. I told my mom I was just hanging with some of my friends, and she had agreed. I had my mom drop me off a little ways down the road, trying to avoid embarrassment. When I came to the house that matched the address on the paper, I knew my plans for telling Matt I liked him had been blown out of the picture.

I tried walking over all the passed out drunks and the people sucking each other's faces, but I failed. I ended up stepping on some guys' chest; I quickly walked away as he screamed at me. I walked into the rather large house and saw pretty much the exact same thing I saw outside, except now there were people dancing. And by dancing I mean grinding on each other. I felt claustrophobic as I tried to squeeze through the over packed house.

If Matt wanted me to meet him there, where was he? I saw some familiar and unfamiliar faces as I continued to search the crowd for Matt.

Out of nowhere, Matt's head popped up. I ran up to him, trying my best not to fall. He whipped around when he noticed I was coming towards him. He opened his arms wide, and my first instinct was to hug him, so I did. To my surprise he hugged back, but even harder.

I felt his breath on the back of my neck, which caused me to shiver, so I pulled away. Even though I couldn't tell Matt what I wanted to, I decided I was already here so I might as well make the best of it.

Growing up I always promised myself that I would never drink, but tonight I broke that promise.

Shot by shot I could feel myself getting drunker and drunker. I knew I should have stopped, but everyone cheered me on and I was having too much fun to have a care in the world. Eventually, I was hammered. I stumbled through the house, trying to find Matt once again so he could walk me home. I wanted to leave before my drunken self did something stupid. Luckily, I found him rather quick. I grabbed his arm with a strong grip and pulled him out towards the pool area. I walked carefully around it and surprisingly didn't fall in.

Matt just limply stumbled behind me. Once we got out towards the sidewalk, he finally talked.

"Where are we going?" He managed to say

I laughed rather loudly, I don't know why though. Must be the alcohol.

"You have to walk me home silly!" I said poking his nose

He just stared at me dumbfounded. I attempted to snap my fingers in front of his face, but I was pretty much numb. Instead, I just shoved Matt and he let out a groan.

He pointed to a dark alley.

"Shortcut." He said almost hollering

I didn't respond, just followed.
