Chapter 8
I perked myself up, hoping to look less drunk, but it didn't work. I just stopped and turned towards his car. The cop walked up and shined a bright light in my eyes, causing me to fall back. That's when I knew I was screwed. He grabbed my arm tightly causing me to screech in pain. He yanked me up and shined the light back in my face.
" I need your name and age please."
" Uh, uh Starr Jackson and 16."
" Ahh, I see underage drinking."
I started to shake, I have never been so terrified.
Right then I leaned over and threw up everywhere, barely missing the cop.
I stood up and couldn't bare to look at the cop. Before I could get out one word, he had me handcuffed. I scrambled, trying to get out of his grip, but it was no use.
Once we got to the car, he opened up the door and practically threw me in.
On the way to the police station, he explained how they were calling my parents and all that junk. I tried to drown him out, but he was practically screaming. When we arrived my stomach dropped.
After what seemed like forever, my parents arrived. Yay, just what I was waiting for.
As soon as they walked in, my mom scrambled over to me with a frightened look. She hugged me? Not the exact reaction I expected.
" Oh, honey I'm so glad you're ok." She said quietly in my ear.
My mom was always a nice , laid back person , but I didn't expect her to be like that in every situation.
" Are you mad?" I asked hesitantly .
" Of course I am disappointed, but everyone does stupid things and let me tell you, your father and I did some things way worse than this. I am not completely letting you off the hook, but I wont be so hard this time."
I looked at her and just smiled. I grabbed her and hugged her tight. I was glad I had her.
I let go and leaned back.
" So, what's my punishment?"
" No phone for a week."
I was actually pretty satisfied with that punishment, due to the fact I'm not on my phone that much anyways.
A couple minutes later, my dad walked over after talking to the cops. He just tilted his head towards the door, signaling for us it was time to go.
The whole ride home was completely silent, which was good for me.
When we got home I ran up to my room and locked my door in attempt to avoid my parents. My plan worked smoothly. I heard them come in and lock the door, and after that was complete silence.
When I was 100% sure the coast was clear, I grabbed my pajamas and ran downstairs to take a shower. I really hoped this sobered me up.
