I shifted my cap to make sure no one, including cameras, could clearly identify my face. I had come all this way. It would be a waste to fail the mission now. Wouldn't it, dear diary?
It took all my strength to withhold the smile that wanted to creep across my face. I mean, it's not every day that you get the chance to murder your soulmate's 'boyfriend'. But of course I couldn't share that joy with my fellow mechanics who were also working that splendid day at John's car shop. They wouldn't understand.
Only I do. It's hard to find your soulmate in this wide world, and some even never succeed to do so. So, when I did; when I found my fallen angel named Sybil Erins who was then working at the local cinema, I knew I had to act. Especially since I found out she had a boyfriend. I couldn't possibly spend her life settling with that ordinary Jackson Willoughby always wondering if that was all it? Now that would be cruel, so I had to break them up. All for their own sakes. They will realize that later, or well, Jackson won't; he's dead. But, you know what I mean, dear diary.
So, let's get back to the moment where I placed a chip in Jackson's car. It took quite a time and effort before I found out which car was Jackson's. And after I did, I found out where he took his car for services and reparations. Which was, obviously, John's car shop.
I asked them if they were hiring; of course they weren't. Thanks to a little 'accident' that happened to some guy named Peter, there was an open spot. My idea for the chip came from a crime series where some criminal used one to follow his victim. When Jackson came by for his monthly check-up, I made sure that I was free to check it. And after I had checked it, I placed a chip underneath the driver's seat. The fool never discovered it.
On the night of the party, I followed him by bike. Yes, bike. I chose to ride my bike in order to make sure that I wouldn't have to fill my tank and that I would be spotted at any gas stations. Plus, it made sure of the fact that no one could remember my license plate. Yeah, everything was well through before the events of that night occurred.
Everything went pretty well. Most of the crew was having a lunch break and the rest was paying all their attention towards the cars. It took only a minute until I placed, activated and connected the chip with my phone.
The events of the night that were too brutal for Jackson couldn't be stopped back then, but I will always think of them as a dark part of my past. Though, everyone knows; people do the craziest things for love. And in this case, so did I, dear diary.
I was SO excited to write and share this chapter with you guys!
I'd never written a thriller before so it's all very new to me, but one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted a chapter from the murderer's POV.So, I hope you like it!
Btw, again, I'm really busy writing right now until January. In January this book needs to be finished and since I'm in my final year I also have to get great marks. But, I promise to have all chapters published by the end of February. Mid January I have to hand in this book (it's a school project) and after that I will completely edit it with the notes of my teacher.
I hope y'll understand! ☺️
