The next day I walk down the office. I have an appointment with Nick and that other officer to talk about the messages I found in Maggie's phone. I used the excuse of cramps due to my period to get out of Maggie's room as quickly as possible. Last night, I barely slept because being in the same room with the girl who let your dead ex-boyfriend cheat on you, isn't really the best environment to fall asleep and have a nice night.

But I'll catch up with my sleep later, now I've got business to do. Entering the office, I spot Nick already waiting for me. I smile at him and take over his mug of chocolate milk as I fall in step beside him. "Thank you. I needed this, badly." "That's okay. And, yeah, I figured as much. Are you okay? You seem... tired." He bites his lower lip and we stand still.

"I am tired. How do you except me to sleep in the same room as the girl that my ex-boyfriend cheated on me with. "Speaking of which, when will she be here? She has got to be interrogated, right?" We start to walk again, and Nick guides me to another room. "About that..." He stops me in my traces.

"Detective Jefferson wants to talk to you, before we get Maggie down here. Is that alright?" "Since you're quoting one of Lady Gaga's songs, yes I'm ready to talk about this bad romance." He frowns at me.

"Have you been spending the last decade underneath a stone or something? You do know that song, right?" "I... uh... I don't really listen to her." "I beg your pardon. She's the queen of the zeros, the tens and will be the queen of the twenties. I don't think we can be friends anymore." I cross my arms in front of me and raise my eyebrows at him. "Anyway, just go in there and tell him everything that happened yesterday. Try to be as accurate as possible. Things that might seem uninteresting to you, might actually be very helpful." He stops talking for a second looks me deep in the eye.

"Will you be okay in there? I'm sorry I have another case to run." A rock sank until the bottom of my stomach. I thought Nick would be joining me, but apparently not. A fake smile grows on my face and I nod. "Of course." He looks unsure but opens the door for me and let me walk inside the lion's cage.

"Ms. Erins, please have a seat." Det. Jefferson starts. I do as he tells me to and sit down on the chair in front of him. "I heard you might have some information about the affair that Jackson had during his life. Is that correct?" I nod. "Alright, then. Do you mind if we record this? I wouldn't want to lose any valuable information, you see." he asks with a smile.

"I see. It's alright by me." He presses a button on the hand recorder and states the date and our names.

"Can you explain the events of last night in detail?" I explain everything that happened. How Maggie suddenly turned up when I was working on the project with Lorenzo, how she invited me to a slumber party with just us two. How she gave me her phone to play Netflix, while she left the room. I left out no detail.

"Thank you. So, I believe that Detective Davis mentioned that you would have screenshots of the chats between Maggie and Lorenzo. Is that correct?" He asks. "Not exactly. It were

pictures. I used my phone to take pictures of her phone." I tell him. He nods slowly, "I see."

He coughs in his hand. "Do you mind showing us these pictures? We can't ask Maggie to come for a conversation if we don't have a reason to." "Well, they're on my phone." I offer. "Can you print them out? You can just connect with our printer on the hallway." He smiles. "I'll try. Let me see..."

"I couldn't fit them within two pages." I close the door behind me with my left hand, with the pages in my other hand. "Oh, that's okay. Thank you."

"So, do you think it is enough to ask Maggie to come?" he frowns down at the first paper, his eyes carefully investigating every letter of each message. "I think so." He whispers and hands me the first page.
