Chapter 36: Bleed for Her
Reid Dale Go
They say revenge is best served cold.
But for me?
It's not about revenge.
It's about protection.
Dylan crossed a line he can’t uncross.
It started when I intercepted one of his men—low-level, weak, easily broken under pressure. I didn’t even have to torture him much. Just a few broken ribs and the guy spilled it all.
Dylan was planning to kill Aisha.
Not hurt. Not scare.
Kill.
He said she was the last piece. The final threat.
His exact words: “Remove the Queen, and the Prince falls.”
That's when I snapped.
You can call me a lot of things—cold, violent, manipulative.
But I am loyal. And if you try to take what’s mine… I become your worst fucking nightmare.
And so now, here I am. Standing in the lion’s den.
An abandoned dock at the edge of the city, swallowed in shadows and silence. This is where everything ends.
The moon above bled through torn clouds, casting silver light on rusted cargo and puddles of oil. My boots echoed as I stepped forward, the taste of metal sharp on my tongue. I could feel my heartbeat. Calm. Steady.
I fucking knew Dylan would pull some shit eventually.
The bastard's been circling for months, hiding behind fake smiles and cheap charm. But I see through people like him. Always have.
That's why I'm here—where it all ends.
Or begins again.
Dylan stepped out like he owned the place. His steps were calm, calculated. He lit a cigarette, the flame flickering briefly before smoke curled around his lips.
“Well, well... the Gangster Prince shows up,” he drawled, smug as ever.
I didn’t blink. “Yeah.”
I was starting to think you’d run,” he sneered.
I tilted my head, dead eyes locked on his. “I don’t run from rats.”
He grinned, flicking ash from his cigarette. “Still cocky. I like that. Too bad you’ll die with that smirk.”
“You threatened Aisha,” I said flatly. “You just signed your death certificate.”
He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with mockery. “Too bad someone like Aisha ended up with a monster like you. Should’ve been me, don’t you think?”
There it is.
The truth behind his game.
I stepped forward, eyes narrowed. “You’re not even in the same league, Dylan. You don't deserve her. You only chase what you can’t own.”
He chuckled, but it sounded hollow. “You think she loves you because you’re dangerous? Because you can protect her?”
“No,” I said coldly. “She loves me because I’d bleed for her.”
He flicked the cigarette to the ground. Crushed it under his shoe.
“Then let’s see you bleed.”
I didn’t flinch. I expected this.
He never fights alone.
