Chapter 15: Whispers and Warnings
Aisha Fancy Lee
Classes just started again, and honestly? Nakakainis. I dragged my feet into the classroom, expecting the same old chaos, but something felt...off.
The second I stepped in, my eyes caught Reid. Quiet. Too quiet. His usual smug expression was replaced with something unreadable—serious, cold, almost...detached. Nakakunot lang ang noo niya habang nakatitig sa textbook like he was trying to burn a hole through it.
Then there was Dylan. Smiling like an idiot, as usual. Parang walang pakialam sa mundo. Si Jake naman—nakangisi pa rin. That signature smirk was still plastered on his face despite the obvious bruises on his jaw and the gauze on his head. His left hand was wrapped in bandages and naka-sling pa, pero andyan pa rin siya. Matibay talaga ang bwisit.
“Aisha,” Dylan called out, his tone light, almost teasing.
I nodded at him, not really in the mood to entertain.
“Yiee, snobber,” he teased, sticking his tongue out a little.
I raised an eyebrow. “Ano na naman?”
He just chuckled. “Nothing. Ang cute mo kasi.”
“Baliw,” I muttered, rolling my eyes. I made my way to my seat, hoping the day would just fly by

Everyone was out of the classroom already. Ako na lang ang natira—well, me and Reid. He blocked the door before I could escape.
“Ano ba?” I asked, arms crossed. “I’m hungry, okay? Gutom na ako. Don’t test me.”
But he didn’t flinch. He just looked at me and said something that made my entire brain short-circuit.
“You’ll be my date.”
My eyes widened. Wait, anong sabi niya?
“Saan? Hindi ako pwede. Busy ako.” I tried to sound convincing but... let’s be real, my schedule was drier than my love life.
Reid just raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. “Tss. Sasama ka—whether you like it or not.”
“Nuh-uh. No way.” I turned to walk away but before I could even take a step—
“Putangina—Reid!” I yelped as he lifted me off the ground like I weighed nothing.
“Put me down, you psycho!” I screamed, pounding my fists against his back. “I said—put me down!”
“I pleasured to f—” he paused with a wicked grin, “—fuck with your schedule.”
My jaw dropped. “Reid! GAGO KA!”
He laughed. “Pervert ka. You assumed things.”
“Bwisit ka talaga!” I smacked his back repeatedly. “Ibaba mo ako!”
“Nope.” He grinned. “But I have an offer.”
I stopped squirming. “What offer?”
“I’ll give you unlimited cake and chocolate supply. One whole month.”
My brain went blank. Cake? Chocolate? One month? Holy sweet heavens.
My weakness. This is blackmail.
“You’re cheating,” I said, sulking. “Fine. Deal. You may now put me down.”
“Nope.” He smirked wider. “What if I don’t?”
