Chapter 16: When Fists Fly and Hearts Fall

Aisha Fancy Lee

"Stop this fucking battle!" A loud, commanding voice echoed through the air, slicing through the chaotic noise of the party like a blade.

My heart skipped a beat.

That voice. That tone. I knew that voice anywhere.

Reid.

He was here?

Slowly, I turned around, my gaze scanning the dimly lit back area of the venue where the noise had led me. A circle of tension formed in the shadows, illuminated only by the flickering garden lights and a full moon overhead. And there, just a few meters away, stood Reid — his chest rising and falling, fists clenched, and jaw tightened with fury.

I froze.

Two figures were locked in combat. One of them, I quickly recognized, was Reid. The other — the guy with the smug grin and eyes dark with madness — was Sky. Of course it was him. The chaos magnet. And as usual, where Sky was, Makki and the others weren’t far behind.

Their fists collided with such force that the echo cracked through the night like a thunderclap. Blood stained Sky’s lips, and Reid’s knuckles were bruised and red, but neither backed down. Each punch, each dodge, each block—they moved like they’d done this countless times. Like they were born to fight.

Reid didn’t just throw punches. He calculated them. Every movement was precise — his footwork sharp, his stance grounded, and his eyes locked in. It was like watching a trained warrior in motion. He twisted to dodge Sky’s attack and retaliated with a swift kick that sent Sky stumbling back.

Holy shit.

Was this the same Reid who was always quiet and brooding? The same guy who annoyed me daily with his smug smirks and sudden mood swings?

Now, he looked like someone out of an action movie — terrifyingly skilled and effortlessly powerful.

I barely noticed that I had started walking closer until I could hear their heavy breathing.

“Bakit mo tinatapos?” Sky growled, wiping the blood off his lips. “You owe me, Reid. You owe me more than you think.”

“If it’s me you want, take me,” Reid barked back. “Leave my sister out of this.”

Sister?

Wait—Anna?

Again? That kid was always getting dragged into something. Parang hobby na niya ang ma-kidnap.

Sky laughed and threw off his mask, revealing his face, battered but still wearing that twisted grin.

And just as I expected—Makki, Raven, and a few others lingered in the shadows, watching.

I stepped out from behind the tree I was hiding behind. Hindi ko na matiis.

“Grabe naman kayo, mga choi,” I said, folding my arms. “Parang nag-aaway lang kayo para sa jowa niyo.”

All eyes turned to me.

Sky blinked. “Aisha…?”

I gave him my sweetest, fakest smile.

“One and only,” I replied. “Hi Makki, you still look pangit. Raven, may bagong bangas nanaman yung pagmumukha mo. Tita will cry. And you, Sky…still dumb, I see. Kailan ka pa naging mandamay ng bata? Low blow naman.”
