when jeno left his classroom school, a small smile casted upon his face once he saw jaemin at his locker.
"hey.." the older walked up to jaemin, who actually turned his body and looked back at him this time. he closed his locker and gazed at jeno, stepping closer to him and placing his hand delicately on his cheek. "... hi."
jeno pulled the younger into a warm embrace by his waist he just loved holding, resting his chin on his head while jaemin nuzzled himself into his chest. they hadn't really had a chance to talk to together in the morning, but now their hug was making up for it.
the two hugged until the bell sounded, which meant they had to get to their next class now. but when they pulled away from each other, jaemin just kissed him goodbye and was already headed off to the opposite direction of class like how he always does during this time. he walked rather quickly, mostly because he knew jeno was probably going to stop him and ask.
and jeno surely did want to ask. but, he let jaemin leave first. he stood for a while, before deciding it was safe to follow in his direction. he had to see what he was doing, to at least try and keep him out of any more trouble. he took an exit out of the school that jeno had no idea was even there, and left. jaemin took several looks all around him while he walked, being the cautious and aware boy that he was. but in turn that made jeno had to hide behind something every time and hope and pray jaemin hadn't seen him.
the whole time, jeno asked himself where on earth he could be going. they were just crossing street after street and it made the older incredibly confused. but then, jeno noticed they got to another school.
an elementary school.
jaemin walked into the building, jeno staying low and pretty far away behind a large tree for a few moments before also heading in. he had been doing a surprisingly good job in keeping quiet and hidden, up until the blaring school bell rang. it made jeno flinch and jump slightly since it wasn't expected, which caused him to let the entrance door slam loudly.
jaemin quickly turned around at the sound and saw who was there.
"jeno!?" the younger's eyebrows furrowed and raised. "what are you doing here!?" he exclaimed, both angry and confused. jeno casted his gaze away from the upset boy, looking down at his hands. "... you always leave during this time.. i just wanted to know where you go everyday."
"you should be in class." jaemin sighed, turning away from the older to allow himself to calm down. he didn't want to explode on jeno for doing this, but knowing himself it was hard to keep his emotions under control. the two remained silent, jeno wanting to pull him into a hug and apologize but refraining from doing so because he didn't know what to do when jaemin got like this.
the silence was short-lived however, as the doors in the hallways opened and very small children poured out of them with smiles and giggles. jeno watched as two tiny baby girls suddenly dashed towards jaemin. the younger kneeled down and received the girls in a big hug, picking them up and placing a kiss on both of their foreheads.
"nana!" one of the babies grabbed jaemin's cheeks and squished them together, making him giggle which in turn made jeno's heart skip a beat. "how was school?" jaemin asked, the girls now going on to ramble about their day happily. while they talked, the younger set them down and held each of their hands, now walking them out of the building and heading even further away from their high school.
"jeno.. my sisters, yoora and areum. and yoora and areum, this is jeno."
jeno smiled at the babies and just followed, quiet and not trying to get in jaemin's way. he walked alongside one of the baby girls, who abruptly grabbed and held his hand when they stopped to cross a street. jeno looked down at her to see her looking back at him with a shy smile. jeno smiled back once more, the baby not once letting go of his hand until they got to what seemed to be their house. jaemin unlocked the front door, walking the girls into the doorway.
"okay my babies, food is already ready for you guys in the fridge. you know all the rules and how to follow them already. clear?" jaemin instructed, the girls nodding in response and placing kisses on the boy's cheeks before heading further into the house. jaemin locked the house completely, turning around and beginning to walk back to the high school. he felt jeno walk behind him silently, making him sigh. the two made it to a crosswalk where they had to wait a few moments.
".. this is what i do, everyday, when i leave. happy now?" jaemin mumbled irritatedly, about to cross the street before feeling arms snake around his waist and pull him back.
jeno spun the boy around and enclosed him fully in his arms, slowly kissing his lips and savoring every moment of it. jaemin let himself be kissed for a short while, before pulling away and giving a look to jeno.
"you're going to be even more late than you already are." the younger muttered, but jeno only pecked his lips and flashed him his beautiful smile. he was unfazed with the thought of being late to class; the only thing on his mind was the boy in front of him.
"you are a really big help to your sisters, you know that right?" jeno said, seeing jaemin unexpectedly blush. he hadn't ever received a comment like that, and it honestly made him feel really good.
the younger ended up staying quiet, sighing in defeat as he turned away and grabbed jeno's hand, crossing the street with him trailing behind.
