"you're not going to school. lay back down." jeno said, though jaemin did the exact opposite.
he finished putting his hoodie on, walking up to the older and kissing his lips shortly, though he didn't kiss back and just pulled away. "i'm serious, jaemin..."
"i'm serious too," the younger responded. he placed jeno's arms around his waist softly. "i'm fine, really i am. the ice last night helped." jaemin whispered, looking right in jeno's eyes as he spoke. he kissed him again, the older being unable to pull away this time. he had been scanning jaemin for something, anything, that would indicate he was lying about how he was feeling. and suspiciously enough, he found nothing. yet you couldn't really blame him.
jaemin was one hell of a good actor.
if anything, the boy felt worse than the day prior. he restricted his breaths the most he could because the sharp pains were everywhere and so intense. but he figured; it's always worse before it's better, right?
disregarding jeno's request for him to just stay home and rest, he left the room and went to wake his sisters up and make them some breakfast. the older sighed, frustrated with the younger because he just wasn't listening to him. jeno was only saying this because he wanted to help, yet it seemed like it was getting him nowhere.
eventually, the older came downstairs and saw the babies dressed up for the day and eating a big bowl of fruit together. they were really picky in the morning, and specifically liked cut fruit with apple juice; only that. jeno greeted the babies sweetly and sat down with them, noticing there was a fruit bowl for him as well. yet, he didn't eat anything and just sat there watching over the girls. he was irritated, feeling like jaemin was ignoring his concerns and just being stubborn.
the younger observed jeno's behavior, and realized he was probably mad at him. it made him frown; he didn't mean to upset jeno, he just wanted him to not worry so much. jaemin's taken care of himself every time this has happened, he knew he really was going to be fine.
the rest of the morning was tense, silent until the boys dropped yoora and areum off at school and began their walk to their own school. jaemin made an effort to get the older to talk to him, and he did, but with a lot of dismissal. he didn't really look at him, didn't really respond to his kisses or hugs, and didn't really reply with much. this lasted their entire walk, before the younger gave up and let out a sigh.
he sped walked into the building, leaving jeno pretty much by himself outside. the older huffed at this as well, deciding that he could play at this game too.
jeno ended up staying outside for a while, just on his phone until the last minute he had to get to class. the boy entered right on time, taking his usual seat and noticing jaemin wasn't sitting next to him like how he always did. he was off in the corner of the classroom alone, drawing in his journal or something.
well at least he was in class.
the older didn't pay attention to anything the teacher was saying for the entire period, just kept looking back and stealing glances at jaemin, who wouldn't look up for anything. when class was over, he watched the younger be the first one out the door, silent and as stone-faced as ever. jeno sighed weakly at the action.
again, jaemin wasn't looking for anything when he was at his locker. he was more so just looking into it without much of an expression on his face. jeno walked past him and pretty much did the same, though he was debating if he should try and talk things out with him now. although it had just been the morning and the hour of their first period, the older was already sick of whatever was going on. he wanted to fix things, or see if he could try, since he knew jaemin was stubborn and not going to be the one to step up first, even though he knew sometimes he was in the wrong.
yet, jeno didn't get a chance to do that, as a sudden loud thud snapped him out of his thoughts. he turned to look from where the source of the sound had came from; and found the younger laying on the floor, completely unconscious.
