baby 그냥 tell me it's okay"
"i'm cooking tonight, you don't have to worry." jaemin said, beginning to boil some water on the stovetop when jeno stepped behind him.
"i can buy some food, really. i don't wanna cause any trou-" the older was cut off by jaemin placing a sweet kiss on his lips and wrapping his arms around him. he pulled away and quickly kissed jeno again. "you won't cause any trouble." jaemin told, looking into the older's eyes with tenderness. "i cook all the time for the girls, one more is not a problem.." he said quietly, feeling jeno run his fingers by his waist very gently.
it was after school, and the girls were in their room doing some of their homework. the boys could hear their laughter and slight quarreling sometimes, so they knew they were okay.
"then do you need help with anything?" the older asked in a soft voice, never breaking eye contact with jaemin. the boy giggled, pecking his lips and making him sit down in on one of the stools there was in the kitchen. but jeno got up again, following jaemin and back-hugging him as he began cooking. he watched curiously from behind him, though the younger just found it endearing.
the two went on like this for about the next thirty minutes, until jaemin was done with the food and jeno now let him go to help serve it. he had made spicy beef soup, since his babies really enjoyed spicy foods. he found it really interesting, as children their age normally would hate that type of stuff.
"yoora! areum!" jaemin called, and the girls came down right after. they squealed in excitement realizing their big brother made them their favorite, and rushed to sit at the table. jaemin also served a bowl for jeno, who he thanked with a small kiss on the cheek when the babies weren't looking.
they went to join the girls at the table, when jeno realized the younger didn't have his own food. "where's your plate?" jeno asked quietly. jaemin simply shook his head, "i'm not hungry. "
the older gave him a slight look. "you haven't eaten all day.." he mumbled, feeling jaemin grab his hand from underneath the table. "i know. i'm just not hungry right now, really." he explained, trying his best to reassure jeno.
it worked for the time being.
the rest of the afternoon went by with the four watching a movie together in the living room, helping the girls with the rest of the homework they had, doing theirs, and cleaning up a little afterwards. when that was done, they helped the babies with their night routines and sent them off to bed, them doing the same right after.
and now, the boys were in jaemin's room, putting some of their school stuff back in their bags. jeno had asked the younger several times throughout the day if he was hungry or to go and eat, but he was dismissed every time. jeno hadn't seen this behavior in jaemin before, so he didn't really know how to react.
maybe jaemin really just wasn't one to be hungry often.
"hey.. come here." jeno asked in a soft voice, noticing the younger had something dark-ish staining the skin around his left eye. he obeyed, walking over to jeno who was sitting at the edge of his bed. he signaled for jaemin to lean down, and when he did, he attempted to wipe away whatever dark smudge that was on his eye.
but, he pulled away with a finger full of foundation instead.
