Geno flinched, squeezed his eyes shut, then turned his head as Reaper raised the scythe. Suddenly Reaper realized what he was doing. He had been running mostly on adrenaline up until now, acting ruthless as he was trained. He then noticed he had a gash on his forearm where Geno had most likely hit him. He began doubting himself. Did he really have to do this? He began slowly lowering his weapon. Did he really not care for Geno at all, as he had been telling himself? What were the consequences of this? He shook his head dismissing these thoughts. Since when had he cared about consequences? He raised the scythe again and prepared to strike.

*************

Error began panicking as Ink was coming towards him. He couldn't get caught or have his identity compromised! It'd be his ruin. He tried to take Ink's soul in his grasp in vain. He stopped for a moment, confused as to why it wasn't working. Suddenly it clicked. Ink had no soul. Ink was only about 20 feet away now. Error took a deep breath and attempted to change his voice as Reaper could.

"Scythe!" he yelled, glancing to where his partner was. He had his scythe above Geno who was on the floor, eyes shut tight. Instead of finishing the job, however, Reaper turned and sent bones flying at Ink, who had to jump back to avoid being hit, and ran over to help Error.

**********

Geno had his eyes shut tight as he waited for the blow to come. He waited a second, two seconds, five seconds, though it felt like an eternity. He suddenly heard a voice yell 'Scythe' and reflexively his eyes shot open. A pang went through his chest as he heard the call. It reminded him of his brother. He looked up in an instant to see his assailant not hesitate for even a second before lowering the weapon and running from him to assist his partner who seemed to be chained up by Ink. He could have ended me in an instant, yet he didn't. He thought. W h y...? He just watched as Ink dodged and Scythe cut through the chains on his partner before they ran off, Ink in close pursuit. He suddenly became aware of Outer shaking him lightly.

"Are you ok buddy?" Outer asked fearfully. Geno nodded stiffly, snapping out of his trance. He teleported out to one of the police cars, knowing Ink would soon enter and that the chase would start.

**********

Ink heard his prisoner call for help. He thought it sounded a bit like Error, but quickly shook the thought off. He looked over to have his throat constrict in fear as he saw the cloaked figure above Geno, weapon poised to strike. He didn't, however, seem too upset to abandon his attempt to harm Geno as he was called.
Ink had to jump back to avoid attacks from the other criminal as the new opponent freed Glitch and they ran away. He felt bad leaving Geno behind in the state he was in, but he pushed those feelings away and darted after the criminals. He pursued them outside, where they hopped in a truck, mostly concealed by darkness. He jumped into his own vehicle as he saw Geno in the driver's seat.

"You're ok!" He cried gladly. Geno gave an exhausted grin. OK??!!

"I am, I don't know how, but I'm not complaining," He declared as he stepped on the pedal, having already turned the car on. One cliche car chase coming right up. Geno quickly turned on the lights and sirens, alerting the other police where they were.

Meanwhile...

"What the hell was that Reaper?!" Error yelled as he began the car. Reaper feigned innocence even though he knew exactly what Error was talking about.

"What do you mean?" He asked with a lazy grin. Error growled in annoyance.

"You know exactly what I mean! Why didn't you kill the police officer? What if he was faking it and caught you off guard?? Even worse, what if he found out your identity?!" Error yelled as he swerved the car, throwing them both to the left side.

"Geno wasn't faking i-" Reaper began, but was quickly cut off by Error.

"Geno?! Why are you on a first name basis w-...Ooohhhhh, I see. That was your 'friend', wasn't it?" Error sneered. Reaper growled under his breath slightly at the label 'friend' said as if they weren't, but then realized with a start that they weren't supposed to be real friends.

"...I wanted to try to get more information..." Reaper stated stiffly, not sounding convinced himself. Suddenly the thought struck Error.

"...You don't actually like him do you?" He asked, suspicious. Reaper thought for a moment. Do I actually like him? He wondered. Well, he was funny in his own negative way, and could be charming, and cute, and would probably look adorable bl- His thoughts were cut off as Error swerved the car and Reaper was thrown to the right side of the car.

"Damnit Error!" He yelled. "Be more careful!"

Error cursed under his breath, ignoring Reaper completely. There was a police car on their tails, Ink and Geno presumably. "Dammit! Alright, Reaper get the pistol out of the console," Error instructed. "Try to shoot their tires or something, just anything get them off our tail!!" Reaper nodded quickly and retrieved the gun. Once the pistol was in his hands and loaded he rolled down his window. He propped himself up with his elbow, halfway out the window aiming to shoot at their tires or at least distract them. He shot the gun 3 times.
