Safe and Sound

Calvin's POV.

After a week of hospital food and those agitating and seriously scary nurses we were finally home, just me and Liv. She missed Noah's funeral, she was getting surgery while it was on, so I went on her behalf. The past few weeks have really changed us, have really changed everything. I put my bag down by the door and sit on the couch. I close my eyes tightly and I feel Olivia's arms wrapped around me, my head resting on her shoulder.

"Olivia" I whisper softly and she looked down.

"Yes" she whispered back.

"Will it ever get better?" I asked pulling away, I don't say another word I just stared at her beautiful brown eyes, filled with motherly wisdom she'd know what to say I just knew it.

"I don't know.... well for you it'll get a lot better" she said tears forming in her eyes.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm sorry baby I'm so sorry. I had to do it" she whispered bringing me close, what was she sorry for? I thought now feeling worried.

"Why are you sorry" I asked and she took a deep breath there was a loud knock on the door interrupting our conversation.

"That's why" she mumbled opening the door. In walked two ACS workers.

"No" I said lower than a whisper.

"Come on let's go" said one taking my hand.

"No Olivia you can't do this to me! Olivia! Nooo! Olivia!"

Olivia's POV.

I'm awakened by Calvin calling out to me "no Olivia you can't do this to me! Olivia! Nooo! Olivia!" I get out of bed and enter his room, I stood by the door a few minutes and just watched. "I thought you loved me!" he yelled and at that point I couldn't take it anymore I rushed to his bedside and gently woke him up he wrapped his arms around my tightly.

"I thought you left me" he whispered.

"Never." I reply softly stroking his hair.
