3rd Person POV
The official report of the incident is that Captain Simon Lee died a hero from injuries and was the only casualty that night. All hostages and police were saved with only minor injuries. Leah Lee is found by Batman and delivered to Gotham hospital. They think she was separated from her family and collapsed from a panic attack.
Unofficially Simon Lee is missing. Leah Lee was found passed out next to the Batmobile with a note attached by Robin.
"Bats, it's Captain Lee's daughter Leah," Robin says crouching by her.
"Yes I'm surprised the League didn't take her as well," Batman says.
"Why would they want her," Robin says. "There's a note."
Batman picks her up and takes the note written in Pharsi.
Hello Beloved,
The little ahren is quite special and I feel she is going to be safe with you. Much safer with her grandfather gone. May haps she will be able to help you with her gifts.
Until next time,
T."Gifts, what gifts does she have? I mean she can fight a bit but how would the League of Shadows know or care," Robin says.
They climb into the Batmobile and set her between them.
"Her grandfather had dealings with them," Batman says. "Kyle Kaito Lee, former US Special Forces and expert in hand-to-hand combat. He officially left active duty after adopting a war orphan, her father from Berlin. He went underground training anyone who wanted it from armies to assassins."
"Assassins like the League of...Wait, Oto? Her crazy Japanese Grandfather was, is some shadowy martial arts teacher? Do you think he trained her," Robin says looking at his friend.
"Given the damage she did in there, yes. I had suspected after watching you two spar last time in the exhibition match," Batman says.
"Wow, I guess I wasn't the only one holding back," Robin says. "Think she would want to fight crime?"
"Hard to say, we need to get her medical attention," Batman says.
"We taking her to the cave," Robin asks excitedly.
"Not tonight, her family will be looking for her."
Unknown to the dynamic duo, Leah had woken up and was holding her field close to hide her little movements.
They drop her off at the ER. When her family gets there they find her attached to a heart monitor and an IV resting. She wakes up and when she sees her family she starts crying.
"I'm sorry, I panicked in the confusion. I bubbled and just ran," she says as her mother and siblings hug her.
"Listen to me Leah, Peter already told me he sent you after your father. Now I will say this as clearly as I can. No matter what your kids gifts are; your father was a police officer and a former operative. The man was better trained than most of the officers or even military captains he served with. You are not to blame for what happened," Mom says looking into Leah's eyes.
"Yes it.it.it is, he-he kept a chunk of the building from falling off on me," Leah chokes out before falling into tears again.
"Leah Itsuka Lee, listen to me," Ana Brandt says hugging her baby girl.
"Your father died to save you because losing you would have killed him and me," Ana says. "You have to live for his memory."
Leah collapses completely crying.
