"No, you are not telling me I'm Bruce's daughter. I am not ready to be the lost child of Bruce Wayne," I stutter feeling like the time I spent meditating was wasted.

"Well accept it," Dick says with a yawn.

"No,no,no no, my father was Simon Lee, my mom is Anna Brandt, I mean I'm a psychic," I say after storming into the house.

"That's from your mother's side," Bruce says.

"So what? You're telling me she cheated on him and you two wound up in a torrid tabloid romance and then she went back to him. Then he just decided to raise me as his own either unaware or ignoring the truth," I rant.

"No, your father and mother were separated at the time. I didn't know you were mine until we ran your labs the night of the explosion," Bruce says as he drinks a cup of coffee.

"So what? Do I call you dad now? Am I going to have to change my birth certificate or something," I fume as I feel an panic attack build.

"No, I was on it already. Your grandfather just had it buried to protect you," Bruce says.

I'm stunned and I feel my energy surge. I wrap my arms around myself tight. He pulls my back against him with his hands across my chest.

"Leah, calm down. You are stronger than this," Bruce says somewhere between a command and encouragement.

"How would you know?" I yell "You didn't know I existed for years. You knew I was your daughter for months and you didn't say anything. Do you know what if feels like to realize that the man you thought was your father wasn't? He sacrificed himself for me and I wasn't even his daughter? I caused an innocent man's...no I cost a cop his life saving me. I even whammied my own father. I'm a monster," I scream.

I close my eyes to keep another pulse in. Suddenly, I feel strong arms tighten around me. The muscles I know from the training. The pulse still goes off. Yet when the energy comes back into me, Bruce let's go.

"You're right, I wasn't there before but I am now," he says and looks at the frozen Dick and Alfred.

"Hmm interesting development," he says.

Walking over to Dick and Alfred he examines them. Looking back at me he then does an exam of me.

"We'll have to run full labs on all of us. Has this ever happened before," Bruce asks.

Alfred and Dick shake their heads and Dick falls as his balance shifts.

"Has what ever happened before? Why am I on the ground," Dick asks.

Alfred dusts himself and adjusts his tie.

"I believe Ms. Leah had a panic attack and she uh "whammied" us," Alfred says.

"Some of us," Bruce says in his Batman voice.

"No way, does that mean you have a safe zone? Like an explosion," Dick asks.

I blush and look down.

"That's awesome. How do you do that," Dick asks coming up beside me.

As one we head down to the cave.

"We are going to figure it out. You two are staying home from school due to a family crisis," Bruce says as he gets to the Batcomputer.

Alfred pulls out the diagnostic tools and soon we are all hooked up. Blood is drawn and we take turns in the MRI. They attach a sensor to my chest to monitor the readings from the coin.

The rest of the day is filled with analysis. By the end of the day we have the answer.  When I have a pulse my energy gets built up at the coin and when the coin can't hold the flow back any more the sudden expansion of my field pushes away the mental energy of those within range. Then the field is drawn back in taking the 'captured' energy into me.

It seems that by keeping contact with me and the coin Batman not only was shielded from the blast but also received some of the excess energy. We scanned the coin and found scratches on the reverse side. By analyzing them we realized they correspond to chi lines.

"Hmm, interesting. What do you think it could mean," Alfred asks.

"I don't know maybe Oto was right," I say looking down.

"About what," Dick says laying back from his chair.

"Oto said the coin was a record of the greatest feats the family's masters ever achieved," I say running a finger along an edge.

"Stuff like what? Punching a hole through a tree, catching swords, or dodging arrows," Dick asks.

"Yeah, he said one master even lifted a boat full of attackers. Then another took a  cannon ball to the chest like it was nothing," I say thinking back. "He said his own feat was taking down over 50 enemies in a single strike. I figured he was just telling stories to keep his psychic grandkids in check."

"He wasn't lying," Batman says.

"Batdad Say what," I blink as I flip off a step.

"He did it years ago, while facing off against the League of Shadows. That's what put your family on my radar," Batman says.

"So it wasn't me," I ask.

"No, you came after," Batman says.

"What? And you still slept with her mom," Dick says.

We are met with a stony look that we know we are going to regret.

"If you two have all this energy I recommend you start doing your drills with weights," he says.

Dick and I both groan.

"Now," he barks.

We jump and start the heavy workout, he refers to as 'drills'. Really they are normally weighted exercises with many extra reps per set. This includes Burpies, one handed pushups, mule kicks and special katas.

By the end of it we are wiped and Alfred comes in with dinner and towels.

"After dinner you two are to shower and take a rest before monitor duty," Alfred says.

We look up and blink.

"He went out without us," Dick asks.

"League business came up on your run," Alfred says.

"Great a big bad shows and we are stuck here," I say sarcastically.

"Heh, part of the drill sis," Dick says between bites.

"Actually I need you two there to run support," Batman says over the coms. "We are preparing for an op and I need you two tracking and hacking from the cave."

"That bad, huh," Dick says.

"Darkseid bad or Braniac bad," I ask.

"Mongul," he says.

"Fine but if we are needed for crowd control you have to let us know," I grump.

"Yes but you two need to prep and rest or else you won't be any good," Alfred says as he pushes us upstairs.
