Into the field

I do not own Batman, The Justice League, Young Justice or any DC properties.

With that we get sent to bed with Wally and the Flash dashing away. I don't sleep much. I kind of don't need to. I wake up with Alfred and do a bit of meditation on a balcony.

My meditation ends and Alfred hands me a cup of tea.

"Thank you Alfred," I say sipping the Jasmine green tea.

"Feel up to helping me with breakfast," he asks.

"Can we do it training style," I ask.

This gets a smile from him as we head to the kitchen. For a response he starts tossing me eggs. I jump around the kitchen catching them as I get to the bowls. As I start cracking the eggs into the bowl, he throws implements at me. With an sidestep we swap positions as he pours the eggs into the skillet and I start tossing spices. He either accepts or deflects them.

Next comes the melon that I toss high in an arc and Alfred throws a knife at me. I catch it and slice the melon as it lands on a plate minus the rind or seeds. As we dodge, throw ingredients around the kitchen Alfred winds up throwing some kicks himself that I slip or jump over almost naturally.

We finish making breakfast and I land with a smile. Bruce and Dick walk in and Dick slow claps.

"So is that how you guys fix breakfast all the time," he asks as he finds a traditional Japanese breakfast laid out.

"Not every morning Master Dick," Alfred says making plates for them.

"Yeah sometimes we just do smoothies," I say as I say a prayer "Itadakimasu."

"Well, after breakfast go get ready for school and after school your suit should be here," Bruce says.

The rest of the day is a blur. I mean since the incidents they all do, kinda. Dick is a bit more engaging at school but that's due to our new sibling bond. Yet, between his hacking and my bubble we can cut without most teachers knowing if we don't feel up to it. I mean the work seems almost easier than before my family disappeared but maybe the teachers are giving me a break with my family "dying".

When we get home and change Dick and I head down to the cave. In a fresh tube I find a green suit covered in Chinese and Japanese runes, a complex seal in on my chest. My mask is a full cowel like Batman's. I have my own utility pouch that fits the design.

"It's like Batman's," I say running a hand down the side of the tube.

"Yeah we figured it would work until you started to "develop" to help throw the villains," Dick says.

"Your equipment is basically the same as ours save your senbon," Bruce says walking up. "I'll trust your aim and judgment. The acid tipped ones are for armored opponents and vehicles. The tazer needles can be activated immediately or remotely. Com is in the cowel. Get suited up and well run you through some drills."

I get suited up and it fits just right. I can even tell it will adjust when my breasts come in. As they run me through the drills, I like how the suit feels. The placement of the pouches is intuitive

"Well Fuijin, ready," Batman asks.

"Not without dinner you aren't," Alfred says walking down with the dinner cart.

The meal the is simple one Bruce and Dick have every night before patrol. Then pulling our masks down Bruce has me climb into the Batmobile with him and Robin hops on his bike.

We are approaching the city when we get the call.

"Master Bruce, we are getting reports of Killer Croc, Cobra and Penguin rampaging down by the water front," Alfred calls out.

"Croc and Cobra I can understand being around but what's Penguin doing in the mix," I ask.

"We'll see when we get there," Bruce says.

"Maybe Penguin wanted to play with the zoo crew," Dick says. "See you there."

Dick speeds ahead and Bruce looks to me with a smile. He opens up the engine a second later. We arrive to the waterfront and put the vehicles in their path. We jump out and I see their eyes glaze over. As Croc lunges at a bystander he growls.

"How doth the little crocodile
  Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
  On every golden scale!"

I charge and throw senbon at him. His scaled shoulders roll as they stick in his skin. Croc turns to me and I realize his face has elongated and looks more like a snout. As he slashes at me with a clawed hand I flip back.

"Wheack, wheack, Batman what do you think of my new guard dog? Looks like he has taken a liking to your new distraction," Penguin sneers as I hear metal clash.

I open my field and feel Robin fighting Cobra. Batman is fighting Penguin. I level a look at Croc and 'blink' disappearing from sight mid-charge. I slip under his view and strike his core hard with a flurry of blows. I keep up the blinding but then he sniffs the air and hits me with a hard blow.

I wince slightly but know nothing is broken at least. I am striking him hard and then take his sense of smell. I dislocate almost every major joint, Yet he keeps coming. Finally I've had enough.

I pull out the tazer senbon. I throw them into a tight grouping on his back near his spine. Croc lunges at me as his senses come back. I jump high in a flip and land on his back.

"Sorry scaley, I am not on the menu," I say as I plunge one more into the group and hit the charge on my gauntlet.

I jump off just as the charge activates. He lights up like a Christmas tree. Robin appears next to me with a bound Cobra.

"The ssshrimp took down Croc," Cobra hisses his disbelief clear.

"The name is Fuijin," I say shooting him a look full of killer intent.

"Well done Fuijin," Batman says throwing a bound Penguin down on the pile.

I bend down to collect the senbon and see something on Croc's head between scales. I grab tweezers from my belt.

"What's this," I say.

Slowly I pull out what looks like a playing card with a pointed end.

"Let's get this back to the cave and analyze it," Batman says.

We tie up Croc and wait for the sounds of the sirens before driving off.

"It looks almost like a playing card," I say twisting it. "Wait, the line Croc said was out of "Alice and Wonderland"."

"How do you know that," Dick asks over the coms.

"We had the assignment just last week on it remember," I respond.

"That means one person," Batman says.

"Hatter," Dick and I say.

"I'll analyze this and you two can head back out," Batman says.

The rest of the night is pretty slow. A handful of muggers and car jacking is all we have to deal with.

I sit with a bit of morning silence I can feel the caretaker's eyes on me.

"Everything ok Alfred," I ask as my meditation ends.

"You remind me of your grandmother," he says.
