"Get up... just forget it. "
The roar we hear when you stand chills you too the bone. A dragon. I see fear in Aela, but annoyance in you. Sighing. I let magic run through my veins. The snow fall stopping around me.
Ice bursts from the sky as the dragon screams. Freezing a large swath of land. I start to chant. Hoping to end things in one shot.
"By my rage brings calm. By the calm brings the storm. By the storm bring cold. And by the cold brings death. Let my liquid rage fuel me. I am the storm. I am death.
Kirin!"
A large storm appeared getting larger with every word I spoke. Thunder and lightning crackling in the clouds. When the dragon came back for a second attack I finished. A large tiger of lightning struck the ice blue scales of the dragon, and it roared falling from the sky hitting the ground with a sickening crack of bone breaking. Dangerously close to Aela. She poked its head with her bow only for the dragon to attempt to bite her in half.
Your roar was the last thing I remember before I saw red. When I came to, you were crying over my body.
"Ugh..."
You gasp.
"R..r... you're... alive? Oh thank... thank ..."
I attempt to sit up but can't. You hold me down.
"No, no don't... you'll rip the stitches..."
I just groan and push up anyway. The stitches falling out as my wounds repair themselves. Magic oozing from my body.
"What...happened."
You gulp.
"I screamed when the dragon killed Aela. You... morphed into... something... and fought the dragon hand to hand. Ripped each other to shreds... so much blood... when the dragon took its last breath... all the blood... moved flowing into a ball in your hand then you drank it... morphed back and passed out... bleeding everywhere..."
She was gone. Aela...was dead. I found her mangled body lifeless on the ground. Wrapping her in cloth I picked up her body and started walking.
"Where..."
I interrupt.
"Follow... home. "
As we walked, we passed the top of a hill and saw Whiterun. You offered to carry her, but I declined. Animals bowed their heads; bandits left us alone. The guards didn't question us walking back in the doors. You rushed into the hall and brought the Companions out just as I laid her body down.
"Companions. I brought your comrade home. Avenged her death. Hate me if you must. But I have given her an honor most Nord would give anything to achieve. Poisoned by dark Falmer she was to die a coward's death. I saved her life. Only for a dragon to rip her to shreds. I did the same back. Let's give this warrior... a true honor. A true... send off to the next. And harbinger? She went to Soverngard. Not the hunting grounds. I made sure of that. "
