Months pass. I could still feel the note in your home. Perhaps you've chosen revenge as your path. I sigh as I break the neck of the deer I had hunted before draining it completely of its blood.
I wash my face in a river not noticing how cold the water is. Seeing Aela next to me in the reflection.
"Ah... Huntress, how's the afterlife? Full of fighting and hunting, no? "
I watch the reflection smile and nod but still look sullen. I sigh again.
"Am I doing things right Aela? I gave her a choice...I don't know."
She looks like she's thinking for a moment before smirking. Tapping her wrist and pointing up. Confused I startle. And realize that the note has been burned. I grin.
"Till next time oh Huntress of the gods."
I phase into nothing, only to reappear at your front door, before knocking. You answer and look ragged. Dark circles under your eyes, making your face look more pale than normal, long black and tangled hair, clothes dark and stained. Your eyes dark and nearly broken. I step inside and your eyes fail to track me. I nearly recoil at the destruction I see and growl.
"Bath. Now!"
You finally look at me. The tiniest of fires light up in your eyes but dissipates almost immediately. You follow my order and move up to your bathroom. I shut the door behind me, then carefully slip a knife through your clothes, cutting them from you. I start the bath. Heating it with magic.
"Get in."
I see you shakily get in the bath while I start to wash you. You have your knees pressed to your chest; arms wrapped around your legs. When I pull you out of the bath, the water nearly black, you look so much better. As I sigh, I dress you in clean garments.
"We'll talk tomorrow. Time to sleep."
You start to struggle and thrash. Mumbling before screaming.
"No... no, no, no, no... NO!"
I pull you into the bed while you thrash and scream.
"Sister... sleep. "
I touch your forehead and let my eyes connect us forcing you to sleep. I meditate next to you. Taking your dreams and living them myself.
In the morning you wake and see me next to you. Sweating heavily and panting for breath. My eyes shoot open, and I calm down.
"Morning sister. "
You look so much better, healthy even, besides the weight you lost.
"Why... why are you... here?" You croak out, barely audible.
I smile.
"Ah the dead do speak."
You look so confused tilting your head.
"You burned the note. And you were essentially dead to the world when I arrived. "
You nod a moment. Then your stomach answers.
"I cleaned up too. Just so you know. I'll be cooking you breakfast too."
A second me walks in with breakfast for you before disintegrating. I motion you to eat. Waiting till you finish everything before speaking.
"Now. Tell me your decision. "
You sigh. Looking up before speaking.
