My eyes flutter open. It's quiet in the house. My heart flutters as my ear's focus. I hear you both laughing getting closer every second. When I open the door and see you both coming back from a venture out of the house, I sigh a little in relief.
You walk through the door holding our sleepy little girl and sigh happily. You pull out a note. When I take it, you walk by and put her to bed. As soon as I read it, I nearly hiss in anger.
"What is it?"
I hear your voice and nearly whip my head at you.
"Who gave this to you.... messenger or..."
You tilt your head and I growl in anger. Handing it to you and watching you frown.
"So... we're being.... forced.... to pick a side.... by the wonderful general as well."
I sigh before sitting down and writing out a message. You lean on my back and smile at what I wrote. You take my two messages and rush to a messenger. Now we wait.
"Love... that was devious... but true. Mmmm well how fun. We might have to conquer the empire."
"True... our dragon blood should be a strong deterrent for now but... still."
We sit and talk for a while before a messenger knocks on our door. When he hands me an axe I sigh. I hold it back out and he nods before rushing off.
"Sigh... what... is the war getting that bad?"
"I guess so..But it's not my priority at this current moment." You say lightly while trying to relax in our bed.
I smile and sit behind you, lightly massaging your back and shoulders. You sigh contentedly, your eyes closing as you enjoy the sweet gesture. Eventually you fall asleep, so I gently lay you down and cover us both with our thick blanket. My hand softly stroking your swollen belly, while my eye close.
