"please stop moving i'm dizzy."
i ignored sana's request. "i can't, i'm nervous."
sana rolled her eyes and stood up. she walked over to me and stopped me from moving. "okay, take deep breaths and repeat after me."
"okay."
"everything is going to be alright."
"everything is going to be alright."
"momo will be happy."
"momo will be happy."
"i'm going to give my credit card to sana."
"i'm going to -no, nope, not happening."
"why not?" sana whined. "i'm going to buy one thing jeongyeon, one thing! i promise!"
"and that one thing is probably a sex toy!"
"okay, fine, but please don't over think, okay?"
"sana, this is me we're talking about."
"i know but just try not to."
"okay."

"wear something nicer."
"why?" i asked as i looked down on myself. "this is my usual sana's outfit."
"i know but just trust me, okay moguri?"
"okay." i sighed as i went back into my room to change. i can't help but wonder what has mina planned behind my back. sana was probably in it too. i walked over to my closet and picked out new clothes. after changing, i walked back out and mina was still looking at me disapprovingly.
"don't expect me to wear something fancier. it's freezing outside."
"ugh, fine." the ballerina sighed. "you can fix your makeup in the car, let's go already."
"i don't know why are you this impatient but you better not get us killed."
"I DON'T DRIVE THAT BAD!"

when we got to sana's, the first thing we heard was sana's screaming.
"GOD DAMMIT YOU STUPID RELATIVE OF A BIG ASS BIRD"
i turned to mina in confusion but she looked as confused as me. as we walked to the door we heard someone running up the stairs and running back down. sana opened the door before we could even knock.
"hi girls." she gave us her mega-watt smile, letting us in.
"hi snake."
"hi sana." we greeted her.
we spread out on the couches in the living room. we were watching a drama while gossiping about our classmates. a few minutes later sana asked mina's help with preparing the snacks. as they disappeared into the kitchen i paused the drama we were watching. i opened my phone and saw a text from jeongyeon.

"hey jeongyeonnie"
jeongyeonnie♥: the wait is over
jeongyeonnie♥: today you're going to find out
"find out what?"
"WAIT"
"YOUR SURPRISE IS TODAY?"
jeongyeonnie♥: yes
jeongyeonnie♥: is it a bad time?
jeongyeonnie♥: if it is i can do it some other time
"no no no"
"it's alright"
"please don't make me wait any longer"
jeongyeonnie♥: okay
jeongyeonnie♥: the surprise will be revealed in 2 hours
"that's too long :("
jeongyeonnie♥: i'm sorry princess
jeongyeonnie♥: but you have to wait
"okay :("
"what's with the pouting?" sana asked with a tray in her hand.
"hm? oh, it's nothing." i watched her in awe as she put the tray down without dropping any of its contents."
"come on, tell us." mina insisted.
i sighed as i gave in. "she said her surprise will be revealed in 2 hours."
"isn't it a good thing? you're finally going to find out what it is."
"but i don't want to wait 2 hours." i whined. "why can't she surprise me now?"
"patience, moguri."
"hey, unpause the show. it's about to get good." sana said after a few seconds of silence. i chuckled and did as i was told.
sana was right. it did get good. i was so into it that i didn't notice we watched 2 more episodes until mina's phone went off.
"i have to take it. it's important." she excused herself and went upstairs to sana's room.
"should we pause it?" i asked sana.
"nah, let's continue. she was not that interested anyway."
"okay."
another episode finished but there was still no sign of mina.
"i'm gonna go check up on her." sana said as she got up and ran to her room. i was about to follow her when i heard a door slam shut. i sat on the couch sitting awkwardly, waiting for them to come back. a few minutes passed until i heard the door opening and someone cursing and then the door slamming shut again. i paused the show when i heard footsteps coming down.
"what took you so long?" i asked turning towards the stairs, expecting to see sana or mina.
but who i saw shocked me. there she was, standing in front of the staircase while holding a rainbow teddy bear in hand.
"jeongyeon?"
she smiled. "surprise."
me? failing my french midterm? it's more likely than you think.
