Chapter 12

I screamed. Jai swerved the car as fast as he could, avoiding the lorry that could have nearly killed us.

We're back on the road driving normally, I can feel the fear between Jai and I. He pulled over so we could both take a minute to calm ourselves.

"Jai, I appreciate you trying to kiss me but could that maybe wait until you can multitask without killing us?" I laughed lightly.

"Shit sorry" He ran his soft hand along my cheek and kissed my forehead trying to calm me.

We decided that I was going to sleep at Jai's so we got back on the road and drove there.

We walked through the large door, to see two people sat on the sofa. Beau and the person I didn't ever want to see again, Nathan.

As we walked in, Nathan's eyes scanned up and down my body, and he smirked. He's disgusting, especially what he did to James' ex girlfriend.

Jai shot him a look of fire, before taking my hand and leading me upstairs.

"I'm going to go in the shower" Jai told me. "Stay here."

I nodded and sat on the bed, scrolling through my Twitter feed. I didn't notice someone walk into the room as I had my back to the door.

"Hello beautiful" I heard a voice say, a voice that wasn't Jai's.

I froze turning my head slowly.

Nathan.

He got closer as I stood up, backing away a little.

"Why didn't you want to come to mine the other day huh?" He said with an evil smile, stroking his rough hand along my arm. I tried to swallow my fear.

"Where's your pretty boyfriend now?"

"He'll be back" I spat in his face.

His grip tightened on my wrists, making me wince at the pain.

"Don't talk to me like that" He spoke, inches away from my face.

I knew he was too strong for me.

"JAI!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. That was a bad idea.

"You've fucking done it now" He covered my mouth with his large hand and raised his fist, about to punch me.

"Why did you scream my name Ellie? Are-" Jai stopped. He dropped his clothes that were bunched in his arms and clenched his fists, his jaw growing tighter, his face red.

Before I could say anything, Jai shoved Nathan to the ground, and hard.

Punch after punch was thrown at Nathan's face, turning it from pale to crimson red.

"Jai!" I screamed. I didn't know what to do.

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH HER!" Jai screamed.

One last punch and it was lights out for Nathan.

Jai was panting out of breath, and my heart was beating so fast because of what I just witnessed.

"Jai I-"

I got interrupted as Jai's lips came crashing down on mine. I could feel his heartbeat in his chest.

"Thank you" I whispered.

"Anytime" He spoke in his now sore voice.

*Next day*

I awoke to bright sunlight shining through the window, Jai's arm snaked around my waist, the feeling of his hot breath on the back of my neck as he slept.
