Nathan's POV

I sat on the sofa, waiting for my mate Archie to arrive.

I opened my phone to see yet another text from Jai.

"What the fuck did you do to Ellie?!"

I scrunched my face and chucked my phone across the room, it hit the wall hard, but I didn't care if it broke.

I didn't touch Ellie. I wouldn't. I know what I did to James' ex girlfriend, but that was years ago and I've had couselling and I personally think I've changed at least a little. I'm less sick. Well maybe not 100%. I was still woman crazy, and once I spot my target I want them.

As soon as I saw Ellie, I knew I needed her.

I know I handled it wrong, but I didn't realise she was dating Jai, I just wanted her so bad and I guess I payed for that.

But no one would listen to me. Why would they? I raped and harassed one of their girlfriends, and dared to go near another.

I'm strong and I know it. I also know I can be scary to some, but Jai, he's worse. He scares the shit out of me, out of anyone to be fair, if you get on the wrong side of him. He doesn't look that violent when you first meet him, but when you know how tough he really is, it's scary shit.

I'd received at least 50 texts today from Jai and Luke asking what I did to Ellie.

I haven't done anything, and I'm scared because I don't know what's happened to her, but the amount of texts I've been getting, it sounds serious.

I need to talk to Jai.

I got in my car and drove to his place. I felt nervous when driving there, worrying what Jai would do if he got too angry with me.

To my luck, Beau answered the door.

"Hey bro. What's up?" He asked casually.

"Not much mate. Um is Jai in?"

"Yeah, he's up in his room."

"Thanks bro."

I walked up the stairs. I wasn't surprised Beau didn't question me going to speak to Jai, he doesn't know anything.

I knocked on the door, nerve filling my body.

"Come in." He yelled from inside his room.

I anxiously opened the door. As soon as Jai saw me, he sat up and I could see anger already boiling up inside him.

"Before you decide to kill me, I need to talk to you."

Jai's POV

What was he doing here?!

I couldn't help but feel angry.

"Before you decide to kill me, I need to talk to you." He spoke nervously.

What the fuck does he want to talk about?

"You have ten seconds before I kill you." I spoke through gritted teeth.

"I know you hate my guts and I wouldn't blame you, but I'm not a man to lie at a time like this. I swear to fucking god man, I have not touched Ellie, you have to believe me on this." He spoke calmly and quietly, but his eyes were shouting honesty.

"Why would I believe you? You're sick and twisted. I don't even want to listen to your fucking evil words." I spat harshly.

"Jai you have to believe me. I've changed since then, and I haven't touched her. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't because I know you wouldn't hesitate to kill me."

I smiled at his comment, knowing I have power.

"Wait, this whole incident happened two days ago, right?" He questioned.

"Yeah, why?"

"Hang on."

He pulled out his phone, dialled someone and put it on speaker.

"Yo my main man, what's up?" A voice spoke from the phone.

"Zach, two days ago what did we do? List everything."

"Um we drove to Manchester at 7am, went to Tom's and stayed there for the afternoon, then we went clubbing and stayed the night at his. Woah dude, were you really that drunk to forget everything we did?" The guy laughed.

Nathan smiled.

"No I wasn't, thanks mate, bye." Nathan hung up before his friend even got a chance to speak. Nathan looked up at me.

"See, I'm innocent! I didn't touch Ellie! I was away all day!"

"How do I know you're telling the truth? What if you got your friend in on this?"

"Seriously Jai?"

I sighed, running my hand through my thick hair.

"Fine. But if it wasn't you, who was it?"

"I don't know man."

Nathan and I spent a few hours trying to figure things out and awkwardly chatting about stuff in general.

I didn't tell him much, I just listened to him. I still didn't trust him, and I don't think I ever will, I'm still questioning him.

But if it wasn't Nathan, who could it possible be?

Ellie's POV

I walked through the field, occasionally picking leaves off trees and moving my hair out of my face. I needed a break from everyone, constantly asking me what happened.

I sighed a long sigh.

What do I do?

As I turned the corner, I hit something straight on.

"Shit that hurt." I spoke out loud.

"Sorry darlin' didn't mean to hurt you." He smirked.

It was him.
