Now What?

Demons

            Not only was Adrien starting to notice Marinette's odd behavior, but so did her parents. "Marinette! Sweetie, could you come down we need to talk to you." Marinette eased down the stairs to find her parents sitting on the couch. "What is it?" Her mother sighed. "Come sit down."  Marinette thought she was in trouble, so she began to think of anything that she had done recently that would upset them. She sat on the couch, when her mom put her hand on her knee. "Honey, we've noticed you've been acting strange recently. Like sort of... skittish. Is everthing alright. Marinette's eyes widened. They couldn't know about her undying fear.  So she had to do the worst thing about being a superhero, lie. "Oh, I'm fine. I've just been sort of stressed with school." Marinette's father looked over at his wife, they both had the same worried look in their eyes. "Well, we were considering... putting you in therapy. I mean, we really miss you. I mean the old you. And we want you to be ok." Marinette's eyes widened. No. This couldn't be happening. There was nothing wrong with her but a couple nightmares. She was ok. She didn't need therapy. She kept repeating the words in her head that she was fine. When in reality, she wasn't. 

"No! Absolutely not! I am fine!" "Honey, everytime we wake you up in the morning you scream. We can hear your cries in the middle of the night. Every time I check on you, your'e shivering in a cold sweat. This is more than just stress and we need to figure out what's wrong. You have to be honest." Marinette shook her head. "No!" and she ran upstairs. Marinette didn't know what she was feeling, but it was pure anxiety. The last thing she wanted was for people to worry about her. She loved helping others and solving their problems so much that, she didn't want to solve her own. So the demons in her head kept convincning her she was fine. But she needed help. Help from... a friend.
