Why don't you ever listen to me?

You ask me about my day,
and complain when I don't answer.

But when I have something to say,
it's just, "tell me about it after"

And you say,
"We're your parents,
not your friends"

But I thought,
parents were supposed to be there for their child
'til the very end.
