thank you for 47k!!"Damn it," cursed Alisa, clenching her fists and literally grinding her teeth together out of anger. Her hair, tied up in a long ponytail, was frizzed and stuck out in every direction. There were tears in the corners of her eyes out of frustration too. "I can't do it. I can't. It's absolutely impossible."
Matsuda approached her from behind. She placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, expecting for Alisa to sigh and keep going. Instead, Alisa brushed it off and huffed some more before stomping off to the benches. Coach Washijo hadn't even called her off, and yet she had up and left.
The game was extremely tense. Alisa had a short temper anyway, despite her happy-go-lucky nature, and she'd given up like this a few times during the match. However, the difference was that the last few times she'd gotten back up a minute later and rejoined; this time, it looked like she wouldn't any time soon.
With Alisa gone, your team wasn't doing as well as it should've. With Matsuda not motivating as she normally would've, the team was feeling more down than ever.
Whatever Mary had done, she'd done it well.
You frowned and turned to Megumi, who was panting and crouching down pathetically at her position on the court. "Meg," you began, "we're obviously not doing as well as we should, and I was thinking..."
Megumi looked at you questioningly and stood up straight after stretching and groaning from her aches and cramps from the game. "You were thinking?"
GO DEMARCUS GO DEMARCUS- "we should pull a few strings, just like they did."
Your bespectacled friend thought for a minute and then smiled, but raised an eyebrow at the same time. "How do we pull the strings? What strings do we pull?"
"Well..." you began, leaning in to whisper to her.

It was the third set. You'd managed to pull through the second set and win, but Inarizaki were in the lead by quite a few points now. It would take a lot for you to overtake them and win the set, and then the game.
Mary had been giving you dirty looks throughout the set, and it hadn't put you off until now. She'd even made a few rude gestures, too. And, whenever you looked over to Inarizaki's stands, you saw Daishou looking at you in deep thought.
You knew they had something else up their sleeves. But little did they know, you did too.
Coach Washijo had called for a break, and the match was on hold for five minutes. You'd all gathered into a huddle and were beginning to discuss your little plan.
You cleared your throat. "Inarizaki have a plan, and it's extremely obvious. I mean, Mary isn't trying to be subtle about the fact that she has a few tricks up her sleeve."
Everyone leaned in, curious as to what you'd say next. "I have a plan. It's not cheating, by god, it's not, but it'll scare them to death."
"Ooh! The Killer Queen makes a comeback!" Exclaimed Reina. She tapped her feet on the gymnasium floor rapidly in excitement.
Matsuda elbowed her in the side. "It's not a comeback if she didn't go in the first place, idiot."
"I was watching them," you continued, "and I've observed all of their strategies. For one, Mary always hits the ball vertically. That, for those who are mentally challenged in this group, means that she'll always hit the ball directly in front of her."
