     inside the iwaizumi household
     from iwaizumi's point of view

He shouldn't have said yes. He didn't want to say yes at the time, but blackmail is difficult to deal with. I mean, if a girl asked you out but threatened to tarnish your reputation if you rejected her, would you still say no?

For Iwaizumi (a gentle, kind and honest man) it was hard. He didn't want to fall in love with a girl. He didn't want to go out with her. But he also didn't want the whole school to turn against him. He hated the idea of that person getting word of the rumours she threatened to spread and hating him from then on.

But, of course, he had to say yes.

With the kindest smile - which was obviously fake - Iwaizumi agreed to be her boyfriend. Her boyfriend.

     Who is she, you say?

Masako Aikawa. Masako, the girl who called one of Iwaizumi's new close friends scum. Masako Aikawa who was one of the most popular girls at school, and trampled on anyone she felt like. Masako Aikawa was a bully, a horrid girl and a narcissist.

Luckily, nobody knew that Iwaizumi went out with Masako. Masako desperately wanted Iwaizumi to openly love her, but he tried his very hardest to completely ignore her during the day. Unbeknownst to Iwaizumi, Masako told all of her friends about her little boyfriend. But she added in a few extra details, too.

Iwaizumi was scared. After seeing what Masako said to (name), he knew that she wouldn't stop. He knew that she'd keep going and continue insulting her to teach Iwaizumi not to bother with other girls.

Of course, nobody really knew that Masako came from Shiratorizawa Middle School. Once she came, she told everyone that she was from Chidoriyama and everyone believed her. She only told Iwaizumi her secret because she 'trusted' him and 'loved' him.

He wanted to break up with her. He hated how she looked (not that she was ugly - Iwaizumi wouldn't insult a lady - but she dressed like she wanted everyone's attention) and how she spoke, how she walked to how she acted. But there were more cons than pros with breaking up with Masako Aikawa:

PROS: she's gone, she won't bug him, she'll not be his girlfriend, nobody will ever find out she was his girlfriend, he won't be plagued with the thought that she has a similar last name to his c-

CONS: she'll tell the whole school, she'll tell (name), she'll tell Oikawa, she'll start picking on Iwaizumi, she'll spread rumours, she'll get him kicked from the volleyball team, people will start to dislike him...

He'd written out the list many, many times and he'd memorised all of the pros and cons. Poor Iwaizumi had nobody to confide to. So he went to his last resort: his brother.

Kiyoshi Iwaizumi was the older brother of Hajime Iwaizumi. Kiyoshi was nineteen while Hajime (or just Iwaizumi) was fifteen. Kiyoshi was very quiet - actually, you could say that Kiyoshi was nearly mute. He spoke very few words to anyone, and preferred to write down whatever he was feeling at that moment. Kiyoshi was very intelligent and had filled up many, many books with conspiracy theories and random thoughts. Kiyoshi was also a great poet, author and artist. Iwaizumi had the looks and Kiyoshi had gotten the smarts.

(Fun story: at the age of four, Kiyoshi still hadn't said his first words. In the pet shop, looking for a hamster for Iwaizumi, their parents said: "Kiyoshi, can you say hamster?" and he simply replied with: "Yes, mother, I can say hamster. Why do you ask?")

"Kiyoshi," whispered Iwaizumi from Kiyoshi's doorframe. He watched as Kiyoshi slowly turned around to face him, his shoulders and back hunched over. "I need some advice from you."
