THE SEXY NERD AT MY SCHOOL IS TRYING TO KILL ME?!?!

"Hey guys it's Taylor Swift and you're listening to The Wave." I sighed, slamming my alarm clock when Taylor Swift's voice singing about never ever getting back together filled my ears. Ugh, did Kelly change the station again? Getting out of bed, I put on my favorite pair of pink fuzzy slippers and headed to the bathroom, dreading my first day. Why must I go to school? Why? I took a quick shower and then went back to my closet to put on some clothes. I decided on a white tank top under my orange cut out shirt, pink shorts, gold flip flops.

I went back into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I had beach blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and a deep tan that you can only get natural here in California. My nails were painted sky blue and I had a newly dyed strand of hair in the same color. Deciding on being natural on the first day, all i put on was some foundation, eyeliner, and some light pink blush. I smiled at myself. Perfect!

Living in L.A. California, born and raised, I always like to be as natural as possible. Why bother with too much makeup, especially when you surf as much as I do? I live with my mom, my dad, my brother Peter, and my annoying sister Kelly. My mom is a lawyer while my dad is a movie producer. Even though neither of them are home a lot I still get to see them all the time on skype or something. Besides, no parents means having parties ALL the time. It's really not too bad of a setup.

I like to surf. I've been surfing since I was little and it's the best feeling in the world. My surfboard was custom made with pink flowers all over it -- pink and blue are my all time favorite colors. I am a princess, well, at least that's how a feel when I'm riding those waves. It even have the signatures of famous people on it from when they've come over to my house in the past.

I decided to just leave my hair in its natural wavy state when I got a text on my phone that my best friend, Jill, was here. I ran downstairs and got my bag before I headed out. Jill was standing there. She has  dark red hair and mischevious green eyes. We've been best friends since when we were little and she's the coolest girl in the whole entire world.

"Hannah!"

"Jill!"

I ran up to her and gave her a big bear hug. Jill was grinning. "Omg, I’ve missed you! And my name is no longer Jill, it's Selina, it sounds way sexier."

Hmm, okay. There was no way I was gonna remember that. "I've missed you too! Even though we saw each other two weeks ago." We both laughed. Even when we're separated that long we get anxious. It gets bad sometimes. But who cares now since we're reunited and feeling good.

I got into Jill's Audi convertible and we were on our way to school.

"So how was summer?" I asked.

"Oh please, don't act like you don't even know." I laughed. Of course I knew. Jill would not stop texting me about all of the boys that she hooked up with at sleep away camp, one of them being her long time crush, Jake. It was any time soon that they would start going out. I just knew it. I was so proud of her for making a move.

"Oh you bet I know," I laughed. We chatted the rest of the way to school like we hadn't seen each other in years.

"You know, Hannah, I heard that we've got a new guy today." Jill told me as we parked.

"And I should care why?" I asked.

Jill rolled her eyes and grinned at me. "Because it's a new guy! And I heard he was hot!"

I frowned. "And how do you even know that?" Freak.

Jill glared at me and put her hands on her hips. "You question my sources?"

"Ah, whatever. Well we'll see how hot he is but you must remember that I have a boyfriend."

Jill rolled her eyes. "Who cares about Eddie?"

"I do! And how do we even know that he's hot anyway?" I looked around the front yard and saw my boyfriend, Eddie, walking into school with his buddies. "Sorry, Jill, but I must go say hi to my little boo boo!"

Jill laughed. "Why do you use that stupid pet name? And it's Selina."

I laughed. "Shut up, Jill."

I walked over to where Eddie was. "Eddie!"

Eddie turned around and smirked at me. I love it when he smirks it's so hot. I mean, wouldn't you? "Hey Hannah." He gave me a kiss. "How's my baby?"

"Oh Eddie you do not know how much I've missed you!" I've been dating Eddie since last year when he left his girlfriend, Chloe, for me. But really it's not as bad as it sounds because she was cheating on him with his friend Greg before that anyways. She doesn't go here anymore so there isn't any drama in that department. Eddie was the star player on the football team and I was his number one cheerleader. Even though it had only been a year together, I had fallen in love with him way before that.

"Well you're gonna have to show me just how much later, huh?" Eddie smirked at me.

I playfully smacked his chest. "Eddie, you're such a pervert!"

"But you love me."

I winked at him.

Brrrrrriiiiiiinnnngggg! The bell rang and told us that it was time for class. I said bye to Eddie and headed off to my locker. I had to get my books.

I hurried to my locker and rushed to get my things together. I checked the time on my phone. Crap! I'm already late! I ran down the hall and made it to English class.

When I walked in I realized that class hadn't even started yet. I looked around and saw Jill sitting in the back of the room, right in front of the window. I smiled and went to sit with her. We chatted a bit before our teacher, Mr. Walker, entered the room. Hmm, I thought he was the gym teacher . . . oh well, I guess he changed to English this year. He was kind of attractive in a weird way, but I'm not like that. Crushing on teachers is a bit over the line. Aka FREAKING GRODY!

"Hey kids. Today we're gonna play a getting to know you game. But first I must introduce our new student."

Right at that moment the door opened, and in walked the new kid. My breath caught in my throat. I heard the other girls around me gasp, and I could sense their stares. The new guy was seriously hot!!!

No joke! Well, in a nerdy way, that is. Actually, no, if he took off those glasses he would be hot in a greek god sort of way. He had dirty blonde hair and the most gorgeous pair of blue eyes I’d ever seen hidden behind a pair of thick black rimmed glasses. Eddie had green eyes and they weren't nearly as pretty as this guy's. They were like a blue sky, or the ocean in the Caribbean. His skin was smooth and perfect. He wore a button up flannel tucked into a pair of tan slacks, and there was a blue tie to go along with it. He was probably the sexiest guy I’ve ever seen and I don't know why but I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

He looked around the classroom and our eyes locked. We held the gaze for no more than three seconds, but when he stared at me I felt like the only girl in the world. It was electrifying.

"Class, meet Troy."
