Dragon slayer: Blood dragon

Chapter 9

It was the morning after when Sam tried to wake Tom and Asta. It had only been a few hours since  Sam had found the bag the night before. "Tom... Asta... either of you up yet?" Sam whispered. Both of them got up with a sudden jolt. "ungh... what do you want? What time is it?" Tom asked moaning while getting up. Asta had no problems getting up and just got up. "I found this bag and I wanted to wait till the morning to see what it is" Sam explained. Tom shuffled over and opened up the bag and it was a bunch of arrows. Each of the arrows had a pointed tip with each type or colour  or enchantment. There was about 5 of each type: Red, yellow, green, cyan, silver, violet ect. Tom took a Red arrow to shoot and it split into two a few seconds just after it was shot. He tried arrow after arrow and they all had different abilities it seemed.

Sam went to wake up Sharlon and Diamond while Tom went to wake up Fangey. Sharlon seemed annoyed that he was woken up and started flying around them. Tom went to shoot an arrow to immobilise Sharlon but they still just reflected and he went to attack Tom but Asta managed to freeze Sharlon right in the spot. Sam walked up to Sharlon and gave him a stern look. For some reason whenever Sharlon is given a bad look it makes him feel depressed. Like a sad little puppy when it is raining outside and he can't play. Asta let go of him carefully and Sharlon gave a sort of 'sighing' caw, before perching on Sam's shoulder. "Bloody hell Sam, he tried to peck my eyes out!" Tom exclaimed. Everyone tried to hold in their laughter but Sharlon could tell what was going on and gave them all a death glare.

After having a quick breakfast of some fruit and water they continued to look around rhis maze of gunk-green tree leaves. They were quite utterly lost in this pitch black forest. "Where is this exit I'm getting tired of these mazes!" Shouted Asta. Just then a earthquake like Rumble was felt. They thought they all knew what it was but it was quite different. It was some tree creature. The leaves turned to night sky-black and the cracks in the top tree became Diamond-blue eyes.  They were suprised as they thought it would've been that Stone dog creature again. The tree creature slammed it's fist or branch (no one could tell) into the ground. That caused everyone to fly into the air. Then it shot leaves from it's bush like hands. It caused everyone to get horribly cut. Asta gained her balance and used her golden sphere blast but it did nothing. She fell to the ground like an angle but gold instead of white. 

"Diamond, guard Asta!" Sam commanded. Diamond did just that and Tom started to shoot arrows. It seemed like each colour had a different effect as he shot a Red one and smoke started to seep out the crack that it had made. He shot a Dark blue one and the creature started spewing up water. He shot an Orange one and a ring of fire was consuming it's neck and Sam was riding Sharlon. He headed to the back of the head then he jumped off sharlon's back and the creature turned around. Tom remembered that he mad the pendant in his pocket and exclaimed everyone's name. Time froze except Sam was still heading towards the creature and the Ruby eye started to glow and the head went flying into the large pond that was about 50 metres away and a huge sound came out of it and they couldn't tell if it was a splash or crash.

They all a time to have a break but Fangey had to have the longest break since she was constantly running around in circles to confuse the tree creature. The corpse slithered back into the ground and they heard a loud splash and some sort of smokey smell. They look towards the pond and they see Hagor Jr yet again. Without time to react, Hagor Jr threw up a large circle of burbling blood around Fangey and Diamond. No matter how hard they tried they couldnn't get over the ring. It was just left to Sam, Tom and Sharlon to defeat it. After ten minutes of trying they had no luck. All of a sudden Asta woke up and noticed that Sam was climbing up the cliff. She used her telekinesis to stop Hagor Jr dead in His tracks and Sam jumped off the cliff. He was falling with such serene grace and yet Hagor Jr couldn't do anything to get away. The Ruby eye glew yet again and blade pierced through Hagor Jr at such speed that Sharlon didn't have time to react  but luckily Sam landed on Hagor Jr so it was a soft fall.

Hagor Jr was finally dead.
