'What does she mean by, 'Love yourself' expression...?' Ved scratches his head

'I don't know, I was staring at the ceiling the whole night ! She has become a very mysterious woman I am telling you...' Aayan leans against the couch

They were in Ved's cabin at the E market premises, Ved was sitting at his chair and Aayan was sitting on the couch

'I know that she is angry, and wants me to leave her alone, but what did that statement mean ?' Aayan scratches his head

'Just because she asked you to leave her alone, doesn't mean you should...' Ved says

'Of course I won't stop, but maybe I'll do it secretly, so that she doesn't get irritated...'

'Like you won't get caught... It didn't take her even a minute to realise the Maggi was made by you...' Ved raises his brows

'Dude that was my hostel special Maggi, anyone would recognise that...' Aayan rolled his eyes

'She knows you more than you know yourself Aayan, you need to understand this, if you do something, she'll be the first one to realise that...'

'But she's baffling me everyday...! She doesn't react the way she is supposed to... I mean she hasn't confronted me for leaving, and it's already a week since I returned.... She's is unusually calm....' Aayan says, as he walked to and fro across the cabin

'You mean like the calm before the storm...?' Ved raises his brow

Aayan paused for a moment, trying to find the answer...

'No... No storm... Just calm...' he says after a while

'That's almost like she doesn't care about your presence..'

'No... Not even that... I don't know how to explain this Ved, it's feels like she wants me to stay, but not too close to her...'

'How is that possible...?'

'I don't know Ved, I mean, I have committed so terrible mistakes in the past, her not asking for a divorce is still a miracle... Her anger is justified... I mean who would stay with such a damaged man...' Aayan sighs

'I second her on that...' Ved shrugs his shoulders

'I can't afford to lose that woman Ved, she's the reason I am alive today, or else who knows what my insane mind would've made me do...'

'See, I agree you were impulsive and stupid....'

'And Selfish and a Coward...' Aayan  completes his sentence

'Yeah that too...' Ved says and then clears his throat 'But I hope you are now past all that.... It's your path of redemption, you need to figure it out yourself... But I am sure she will forgive you one day....' Ved sits beside him

'How are you so sure about it....?'

'Because at the end of the day, people are not as strong as they want to be...' Ved smiles and Aayan looks at him

'See it's a fact that Vansh and Annie are closer, but that doesn't mean, I don't know my sister at all... She may pretend to be the strongest lady, wearing an invincible armor that no one can destroy.... But inside she's still the innocent girl, who looked good in every bad, who was hopeful and full of life, the girl who dared to break your armor, and the one you loved more than anyone else....' Ved pats his shoulder

'You and Big dad must really hate me for this....' Aayan sighed

'Paa always wanted Ananya to be happy, he made sure she gets everything she wants, she doesn't get sad and doesn't suffer what Maa had to, before marrying him... That's true Annie didn't suffer before marriage, but she was meant to bear all the difficulties after wedding...' Ved sighed and Aayan hung his head low
