My heart was Icarus
It was careless and ignored the warnings
It flew to high and went scorching down towards the sea
Though this time it did not die like the legend
It had to live with the scars and burns
The pain and the broken peices
After washing up on the shores of the soul
With the remains of it's wings scattered on the sand
Stranded while trying to figure out a way back home
