The beat of your heart
That can portray every emotion
Whether it's a fast beat that thunders like a thousand horses hooves
Or one that drags on slow and lazy
Like a drop of water dripping from a faucet
Or one that is strong and steady
But sometimes,
It is just the thing telling us that we are alive
That we are still so much alive
When emotions have vanished without a trace
The steady beat
