After all this time
Of thinking through the situation
The relationship I had with you
It's safe
It has left a jagged scar on my heart
But it's smooth to the touch
I can remember without breaking down now
Your memories do not haunt me no longer
I do find myself talking about you as if you were still here
But only sometimes
I do not regret anything I said or did
And I do not regret leaving
It has allowed me to all the things that could have never happened if I did not
All I can hope for is that you find your right path out there like I did as well
