Joe has been ignoring me the whole time we were in the hospital. I was ready to go, he just ruined my mood. I was not in the mood for anything right now. I just wanted to go home.
"Can we go." I asked, though it sounded more like a statement.
"Don't you want to stay till she wakes up?"
"No. I want to go home."
"Cas, I- I want to stay.."
"Then stay. Enjoy yourself. See your sister. Complain to her about me. I don't care, really. Just, have fun by yourself.."
"You won't stay?"
"No."
"Why not? You were the one that was soo excited to see her."
"You ruined my mood."
"Oh, so it's my fault?"
I scuffed. He's always so..

So difficult!

"Goodbye Joe."
"Wait," He jumped off the chair beside Zoe's hospital bed. "Please, please stay.." He grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together.
"Joe, I don't want to stay here if it means fighting with you."
"Then we won't."
"We always do. We always find something.."
"Please Cas, I don't want to be alone.." He begged.
I sighed.
"Well Joe, I do. I want to be alone for once."
"Casp, please.."
"No Joe, I'm going."
I slowly released his hand. Edging closer to the door. My hand reached the door nob ready to let myself out.
"I love you Caspar. I truly do.." He whispered to me.
My hand stopped.
This time it was my turn to be the jerk.
Without looking back at Joe I replied, "Yeah." I opened the door and walked out of the hospital.
