This is a big killer for many authors when they're starting out. They don't write all the time, they think the time to write is when they feel inspired.
Wrong
If you're ever to finish your work, you have to write even when you don't feel like it. Not saying taking a break isn't a good idea, but breaks versus plainly not writing are two very different things.
I write 6-7 days a week, which means I hardly ever stop writing. Even when I'm dead tired, I still find a way to write. It might be a page, a few paragraphs or even a single sentence, but it's still progress!
You can't just say:
"I'll write on the weekends when I'm less busy."
That doesn't fly. It truly doesn't.
