I've ran into some books where the text runs together.
Such as:
"Hi Jack." I shouted to him.
"Hi Beth." She replied to me.
"Having a good day?" I smiled.
She shook her head at me.
So on, and so forth.
Please, separate them. It looks so much better, and it looks much more proper.
It doesn't take very long to do, effortless honestly.
