What happened next was all a bit fuzzy. One second I'm being held close to a perverted Naga, the next I'm on the ground with a blurry figure in front of me. I shake my head, my vision slowly coming back. Arthur stood in front of me, his eyes filled with fury and his chest puffed out to show dominance. Lucas was a good few feet in front of us, slowly getting up, groaning like he was waking up from a coma. He covers his head, where blood was spilling out at an alarming rate. I look back at Arthur, noticing there was blood dripping down his chest. It was clear, it wasn't his own. Lucas used a tree for support, looking at Arthur with an expression that showed both fear and anger. "Stay. Away. From. My. Mate." Arthur growls in a warning tone. "I'm amazed you left that tree." Lucas sneers, a slight smirk on his lips. Arthur growls again, his tail wrapping around me, a little too tight for comfort. Lucas hisses, not happy with him touching me. "Don't forget who's in charge here." Arthur growls, using his tail to make himself look taller. His chest puffed out more, his muscles expanding in a flex. "She is mine. If I see you ANYWHERE near her, your head won't be the only thing bleeding." His tongue flickered passed his lips, a fire burning in his eyes. Lucas looks at me then at Arthur. "She won't be yours for long." He hisses, slowly slipping back into the brush. Arthur watches the spot where Lucas stood, staring into the glistering pool of crimson liquid. His tail fell off of me, his fists clenched tightly. I slowly walk up to him, shaking violently from the unwanted touch and from the mild arouse from Arthur's sudden dominance. "A-Arthur?" I ask softly, touching his shoulder. He whips his head around to look at me, his anger not dying down. I flinch, looking down while shielding my face, my reflex whenever my father was angry at me. His anger quickly disappeared and was replaced with guilt and worry. "Love, are you hurt?" He asks softly, gently taking my hand in his. "I..." I look up at him, calming down quickly when seeing his gentle blue eyes. "I'm... alright..." I whisper. It wasn't the truth, but it wasn't entirely a lie. "How far did he get?" He pulls me closer. "Not far. You stopped him before he could... do anything." I rest my head on his chest, some of Lucas' blood smearing onto my forehead. He sighs softly. "I never should have left you. I'm so sorry." He kisses my head gently, leading me over to the creek. He uses the cool water to wash the blood off his chest. I do the same, still slightly shaky. "Hm. Seems like I judged too quickly." We both look over to see Magi watching us with her arms folded. "What's your name?" She looks at me, her tongue flickering passed her lips. "S-Scarlet..." I whisper. "I guess my brother likes you, so I guess I'll have to be nicer to you." Arthur raises an eyebrow and pulls me closer. "I'm Magi." She looks at Arthur. "The othersss aren't going to like this. You know how they feel about humans. With you as a prince, they expected you to mate with your own kind." I blush slightly, almost forgetting Arthur was a prince. "They will learn to love Scarlet, just as I have." Arthur replies, slightly irritated. She raises her hands in defense. "Alright, alright. Calm down." She sighs. "Just protect her. I saw what happened with Lucas, and with everyone still being in heat, he won't be the only one trying to get her." She glances at me one more time before slithering away. Arthur pulls me closer, growling slightly. "Lucas won't touch you again Love. That's a promise. And a Naga's promise is bond." He whispers, pulling me against his chest. I smile slightly and hug him tightly. "I love you Arthur." I whisper. "I love you too." He chuckles, leading me back to our burrow.

(Yes this story is shorter, but I honestly just needed another chapter to help explain Lucas)
