~Arthur's POV~

I plant a gentle kiss on Scarlet's head before slithering down the tree. The creatures clearly sensed something was wrong because they all ran when I came near. I let my tongue flicker passed my lips, feeling the cool water of the creek wash over my tail. "Lucas!" I shout into forest. Lucas slowly slithered out from the brush, his arms folded tightly over his chest. "What do you want?" He asks with a growl. "You mated with my mate." My tongue flickers passed my lips again, a fire burning brightly in my eyes. A smirk slowly forms on his face. "Oh, you found her did you?" I shoot towards him, grabbing his throat and pushing him against the tree. He grabs onto my wrist, trying to push me away. "I let you off easy when you tried the first time. But now that you forced her, I can't let that go without punishment." I tighten my grip on his neck. His claws began to dig into my skin, drawing blood. His tail suddenly wraps around mine, forcing me off him. He holds his throat where I grabbed him, coughing. "You have some fucking nerve!" He glares at me. "I have nerves?!" I shout back, using my tail to help me stand taller. "Who forced my mate to mate because he can't control his hormones?!" He sits up, a fire burning in his eyes too. "You really want to do this?" He asks, puffing out his chest. "I rule over you. You should have listened to my warning." I growl. He attempts to tackle me, but I grabbed his arms and pinned him to the ground. "I'm not going to fight." I growl. "I'm ending this." My fangs show and I bite his neck. He cries out as I inject my venom. He pushes me off of him, sitting up and swaying slightly as my venom begins to set in. He looks at me and tries to throw a punch, but I easily catch his fist. I return the punch, landing a solid hit to his head. Blood sprays from the wound and onto me as he falls to the ground. I look down at his blood that was sprayed on my chest. I sigh, figuring I'll clean it up later. I looked down at Lucas' dying body before leaving it for any hungry scavengers. Seeing as I won the fight, all of Lucas' territory was now mine, but I figured I'd just give it to Magi because she doesn't have any territory of her own. I climb up the large oak, noticing Scarlet was still sleeping peacefully in the center of our burrow. I slither over to her and smile. She was so small. Fragile. She was perfect. She was my mate. No one else's. I gently play with her hair, making her shift slightly. Her eyes slowly open and she smiles at me. "Morning Arthur." She whispers, her voice still weak. "Morning Love." I kiss her forehead. She giggles softly. She goes to say something but stops, her eyes widening in shock. "What's the matter?" I ask worriedly. "A-Arthur..." She asks in a scared voice, staring at my chest. "W-Whose blood is that..." I look down, Lucas' blood still smeared on my body. I chuckle softly and look at her again. "Don't worry darling. It's no one you need to be concerned about." I gently move a few strands of hair from her face. "But, I guess I can tell you, there will be no need to worry about Lucas any more." Her eyes widen, almost in fear as she stares at me. "Y-You... killed him?" Her voice slowly got quieter. "Yes, Love. It was my duty. Stealing another Nagas mate is a high offence, charged with death." I tell her. "Nagas mate for life. Once we mate, we never mate with another for as long as we live. So, when a Naga steals another Nagas mate, that Naga is charged with death. And if the mate didn't fight back, and wanted to mate with another, they are often banished." I gently play with her hair again. "But you weren't willing." I say the last part quietly. She was shaking slightly, and I could almost see the questions filling her head. "You... killed him... I..." She sits up, wincing from her soreness. "I don't know how to feel about that..." "Just remember I was following Naga law. I understand it's different for humans, but here, Lucas would have been killed either way." I explain, pulling her into a gentle hug. She lets out a soft sigh, relaxing in my arms. "Just remember Love, he deserved it." I whisper. "Yeah..." She whispers, not fully sure. "He deserved it..."

A/N: Yeah, I know. Not the most intense fight scene ever, but I have no idea how to write fight scenes.
