"The father is Arthur." Coral smiles up at Arthur, then at me. I look at Arthur and let out a relieved laugh. He looks down at me, the biggest, dorkiest grin on his face as he hugs me tightly. I laugh and hug him back as he spins me around. Coral giggles softly and puts a hand on Arthur's shoulder. "Congratulations." She smiles. Arthur smiles at her. "Thank you Coral." He hugs her. I giggle and hug him tightly. "We're going to be parents!" I smile at him. He kisses me roughly, smiling. I giggle and kiss him back. "You know the council will have to hear about this right?" Coral states, coming closer. Arthur looks at Coral and sighs. "Right..." He states, not sounding very happy. "Why is that bad?" I ask, confusedly. "You're a human." Coral tells me. "Humans are forbiden from the forest, remember darling?" He looks at me. "But, I thought the council knew I was here. You told them, right?" I look at Arthur. "No, I told them I had a mate..." He rubs the back of his neck. "They don't know you're human." He sighs, holding me closer. I bite my lip. "So... They have no idea I'm human?" I sigh. Arthur shakes his head. "We'll tell them later. For now, we need to tell Magi." He smiles, picking me up. I giggle and wrap my arms around his neck. "Thanks Coral." Arthur smiles. She smiles back. "Not a problem Arthur." She slithers off into the forest. Arthur smiles at me and slithers off. I giggle and look at him. "We're going to be parents." I state again, giggling. He smiles at me again. "I know. I can't believe it." He gently sets me down and hugs me. "I can't believe how happy you've made me in just a couple of days." He nuzzles against my neck gently. I giggle softly and kiss his cheek. "I can say the same here." I whisper. "The last time I felt love was with my mother, and even that wasn't anything like this." I smile at him, but my smile soon falls as realization kicks in. "Arthur..." I whisper, looking up at him. His smile falls when he sees I was no longer smiling. "Is there something wrong love?" He whispers, pulling me closer. "Hon, I'm seventeen..." I whisper. "I'm underage." He sighs softly and shakes his head. "Age is no issue here darling. You could be fifteen, and this would be allowed, because naga's age faster than humans." He continues to whisper. "But what if I go visit a doctor? If he sees I'm underage, there could be a lot of issues we won't be able to deal with." "Then you won't go visit a doctor. You can stay here and visit Magi or Coral if there are any issues." He explains, playing with my hair. "Come to me with what issues?" A sassy, slightly irritated voice asks. We both look over to see Magi staring at us with an irritated glare. "Um..." I didn't know what to say. I wasn't sure how happy she would be if she found out I was pregnant with Arthur's child. She raises an eyebrow as we both stay silent. "Well?" She asks impatiently. "Magi..." Arthur whispers, as if trying to calm an angry child. "We have some exciting news." Arthur gently takes my hand in his and moves closer to Magi. She raises her eyebrow more, her expression both curious and 'what did you do now?' (Ever get that look from someone before? No? Just me? K...) "There will soon be another prince to the forest." Arthur explains, trying to hint rather then tell as he places a hand on my stomach. She looks at me, then at Arthur, and you could actually see her brain trying to figure out what he meant. Soon, her expression turned shocked as she stares at me. "Are you crazy?!" She shouts, turning her glare to Arthur. "She's already pregnant!? The council doesn't even know she's human, and now you have to tell them you are having a child with one!" She continues shouting, ranting as she paced back and forth. Arthur gently pulled me closer to whisper in my ear. "Just let her rant, love. She needs a second to blow off steam." He chuckles, sitting straight up again. After a second, Magi takes a deep breath and looks at me and Arthur. "I ought to go tell the council right now you are mated to a human." She growls. "That is not your place!" Arthur states, quickly shooting in front of Magi. He towered over her, as if trying to show dominance. "I will tell the council about Scarlett when I see it fit! Until then, her identity will remain a secret between you, myself and Coral." Magi's courage quickly failed her and she growled, slinking back onto a tree. "Fine." She mumbled, folding her arms and looking at the ground like a child who didn't get her way. I giggle softly and take Arthur's hand, running my thumb over his knuckles to try and calm him. "We'll tell the council soon Magi, I promise." I tell her. She glares up at me, but I could see a faint smile on her lips. She eventually sighs and shakes her head. "I hope you know what you're doing Arthur. The longer you keep her identity a secret, the more your risking her safety." She turns her attention to Arthur. "I am very aware of what I am doing Magi. I don't need you to lecture me." Arthur states. Magi glares at him before slithering off into the brush. I let out another giggle as I look up at Arthur. He shakes his head and sighs. "She reminds me of Mother." He whispers, smiling slightly. I gently squeeze his hand, making him look down at me. He smiles more and plants a gentle kiss on my forehead. "We'll tell the council tomorrow, alright?" He whispers, holding me closer. I went to respond, only to be cut off by a voice that caused my blood to freeze, and the color to drain from my face. "Scarlett?"
A/N: Sorry this took so long! I've been stressed out with school, the holidays and family drama. I'll try to update as much as I can, but my updates may be slow for the next few weeks.
