Chapter 2: UA High

It's been days since your home was destroyed. The soldiers that ransacked your village are making you and dozens of other children from other villages go on a death march in the scorching heat. Your hands are bound so tight, you can barely feel them. Every muscle in your body aches, but if you stop marching you'll be killed. A kid next to you collapses and you rush to him.

(Y/N): N-No! C'mon you have to get up!

Kid: .....help....m-me......

(Y/N): Get up! You can't stop now! Please get up!

Kid: .....mom.....d-dad....help.....

*BANG*

A bullet tears through the kids skull and his blood splatters all over your face. You feel the barrel of a rifle press against the back of your head and you look back to see the soldier whose ear you bit off.

Soldier: Get moving you worthless shit!

You look down at the ground and continue marching against your will.

Timeskip Present

It's the first day you'll be attending UA High. There you will train to become a great hero one day. You put your school uniform over your lightweight mechanical armor and have your sword on your back along with your bag. As you walk to school, you can't help but look around at the bustling city around you. You've never had a civilian life before and it's a bit weird for you considering you've had the life of a soldier for so long. You suddenly get a call from Doktor and answer it.

Doktor: Raiden did you make sure to eat something!? Do you got all your books!? Did you pack deodorant!?

(Y/N): Jesus Dok! Chill out already! I've got everything. You need to relax before you have an aneurism or something.

Doktor: *Sigh* I know.....A lot has happened lately and i feel kind of overwhelmed. I was just making sure you didn't forget anything on your first day. How are you feeling?

(Y/N): To be honest Dok, I'm a little nervous. I know it might sound stupid coming from me.... I never had the life all the other kids had. They lived a normal life while i was stuck in a warzone. They hung around arcades and the beach while i spent my days trying not to get killed 24/7. I'm not sure if I'll fit in.....

Doktor: Raiden don't worry about a thing. Those days are long behind you. I'm sure you'll do just fine and make lots of friends! Besides it's not like they know about....you know......

(Y/N): You're right Dok. This is a clean slate....a fresh start.....thanks for calling me.

Doktor: Any time Raiden. Have a good day!

The call ends just as you arrive at the front gate of UA high. You take a deep breath and clear your thoughts. Once you compose yourself, you head inside and find your classroom. Standing in front of the door is Izuku Midoryia. He notices you and gets excited.

Izuku: I-It's you! You're actually here! Are you in Class 1-A?

(Y/N): That's right. What are you doing standing around? Nervous to go in?

Izuku: K-Kinda....I have a lot on my mind....

(Y/N): Try taking some deep breathes and clear your head of anything negative. Always works for me.

Izuku: Really? Ok give me a second.

Izuku begins to clear his head and takes deep breathes. He seems to be getting the hang of it until a girl with rosy cheeks and pads on her fingers comes around the corner and sees him.
