Chapter 15: Revengeance

(Y/N): S-Soli...dus..!? How....

Solidus Snake: I've asked myself that question quite a lot actually. How could you betray me boy? After everything I've done for you...? I should kill you right here and now for being such a thorn in my sides for so long.

Solidus puts the gun right against your temple. You're too weak to do anything after your fight with Armstrong. You've lost too much blood and have too many broken bones already on top of all your other injuries you haven't recovered from yet. It seems like the end for you until Solidus Snake laughs to himself as he looks around the battlefield.

Solidus Snake: *Chuckles* Oh it only seems like yesterday when we've had moments like this before, doesn't it boy? My my....Look at all the carnage you've done. Truly incredible....I expect no less of you. A Metal Gear and a nanomachine filled madman...remarkable work Jack.

Solidus releases his hold on you and puts his gun away after some of his soldiers are done examining Armstrong's corpse. One of the soldiers runs up to Solidus and salutes him.

Soldier: Samples have been collected sir. Enemy reinforcements are on their way, approximately 5 mics from our location.

Solidus Snake: Load them onto the chopper, I'll be there soon....

Soldier: Yes sir.

Solidus Snake: Like i said boy, i could kill you here and now. But where would my manners be if i didn't give you a fighting chance? I'll be in touch....Farewell Jack...

(Y/N): Y..ou...bastard....I'll....I'll kill you....get back....here....

Solidus ignores your attempts at threatening him as he boards his chopper. You crawl towards it as fast as you can and hopelessly watch it fly away as you begin to lose consciousness.

(Y/N): I'll....kill......you.......

Everything fades to black as you lay face down on the rubble with your blood pooling out beneath you. You feel adrift as you can't see anything. As if you're walking in void full of darkness. You feel cold and unsure about anything until you see a light appear far in front of you. A woman walks out from the light and reaches her arms to you. She seems familiar and yet you hesitate to walk any further. She begins to hum a song that makes you realize who she is.

(Y/N): M...M-Mom..? Is that...you...?

As you get closer to the woman you can make out her features and realize that it's your mother calling out to you. You rush to her and feel the warmth of the light as you get closer. You fall to your knees in disbelief and watch her kneel down in front of you. She puts her arms out to you again and embraces you with a hug. Everything feels at peace as you hold her in your arms.

(Y/N): I...I'm so....s-so sorry....for everything.....I...just....

Your Mom gently pats your head and gives you a smile as the light grows brighter. As the voids darkness fades away, so does she. She begins to disappear and you reach out for her in desperation. Your wounds ache and you're exhausted, you want nothing more than to just lay down and let it all end. As the voids light becomes blinding, you awaken in a hospital bed covered in bandages. You look around and see you're all alone once more. You also notice that it's pouring rain outside. You take deep breaths and try to settle down as you listen to the thunder storm outside. Next to your hospital bed are some flowers and a note card on a desk. You reach out slowly as your wounds ache in agony and firmly grasp the card. Inside is a picture of all your classmates alive and well, they seem to be happy after all thats happened.
