Paisley meets Danté. They fall in love but she doesn't know that he's hiding a huge secret: He's the son of L.A's most dangerous gang leader.

When she finds out she leaves for New York. She comes back a few years later, to work in Los Angeles.

She finds out that Danté is now the gang leader. They knock into each other and they start talking about the past. They decide to become friends.

She let's him meet up with her best friend, Sophia. They all know each other from high school.

Sophia says, "He's hotter than I remembered." He is kind of looking like a snack. Paisley thinks to herself.

They meet up frequently and Danté introduces her to his best mate,Cody. Cody didn't go to normal school. He was homeschooled.

Their friends hit it off immediately. A few months pass by and Cody and Sophia confirm that they're dating.

Sophia tries convincing Paisley to give Danté another chance. He gets shot one night and is hospitalized where she works. "Hey,how are you doing?" She asks him while doing her night rounds.

He smiles at her weakly and replies,"I'm doing much better now that you are here." She smiles and leaves him to rest for the night.

A few weeks later he gets discharged. When Paisley goes and sees Sophia, since Sophia lives with Cody now who lives with her ex boyfriend aka Danté.

She checks up on him to make sure he's alright. She heads up to his room. She enters the room and finds him on the bed resting. "Hey. I just came to check how you're doing." She says.

"Hey. I'm good considering that this isn't the first time I've been shot." He says. She nods. "May I?" She asks referring to his wound. He was discharged since he was better and was allowed to recover at home.

He nods and she checks the wound for any infections. "It's all good. Just keep taking your painkillers and eating healthy and you're going to be fine." She tells him.

"Yes Mom." He says sarcastically. She just rolls her eyes at him and walks out of the room. She goes to the kitchen to say good bye to Sophia. "Hey Soph. Gotta go. See you." "Bye. Wait! How is Danté?"

"Oh. He is healing well. Make sure he takes his painkillers and eats well and he'll be fine." "You know what I'm talking about." "Soph. Please stop this nonsense of trying to get me back with Danté." "Well I tried." Sophia sighs dramatically.

Paisley laughs and says, "Bye Soph." "Bye babe." Paisley walks out the door and into her car and drives home.

Paisley visits Sophia often and her and Danté start to become very close. Closer than they have ever been. Still not close enough for them to date.

She starts dating a detective, Leon, who's obsessed with her ex. The cop doesn't know that her ex is a gang leader. "You know babe that I'm this close to catching this guy." "Yeah. Good for you." She says rather bored of this conversation.

"Babe look at me." She says. He doesn't look up from his laptop. She is trying to be sexy for him but he doesn't seem to notice her efforts. Every night it's about Danté. It's like the universe wants Danté to be a part of her life directly or indirectly.
